Malala Yousafzai, a young Pakistani activist shot by the Taliban, has been taken to Britain for treatment. Malala, 14, was in critical condition after the shooting, but doctors say her condition is now stable. She is expected to recover, but will need extended medical care.

what pisses me off is they bend over backwards to save this pakistani girl - who is brave - but at the same damn time they are withholding care to their actual own people, the elderly are maltreated and essentially euthanized, and the rrest of them can’t get timely regular medical procedures and die awhile waiting for care. it is truly sickening.
Wonderful thing about this: This little girl, 14 years old, has the guts to oppose her religion. And from what I saw MANY there are backing her now.

Have you considered that in this connected age that youtube videos may be all that many people may know about a particular country? Unfair, but that’s the way it is.
