Something else to watch on the eve of November 6th. The Stock Market Futures. It's just a matter of "The More We See Red,The Higher The Futures".It will be interesting to see the crowds rushing to Best Buy,Wal Mart and Apple stores the day after Romney wins in a landslide. It will be like Chick-Fil-A day 100 Times Over!

Not sure what cripplecreek does but most people I know are heavily or fully invested in stocks, bonds etc...So their financial view is much different then mine. I'm a small business guy. I believe there will be a massive surge in sales because I for one will close on three pieces of real estate on Jan 21st. Two purchases for business expansion and one I'm selling.

We will also be hiring a number of new people to expand both businesses. That is the boom that's coming.

Companies with 5 to 50 employees have been like ours. Most of us have been like turtles. Keeping our exposure to a minimum and saving every dime ready to sell out and let the takers F-OFF if Obama wins.

Barry has until January 20, 2013 to continue to destroy the country.

Yes. I fear he will sow the seeds of financial ruin and terror attacks to begin on 1/21/2013.

People like you are a big part of the problem currently.

I guess you need to be reminded that this is a Conservative forum, not a Republican forum, and that Mitt Romney is NOT a Conservative. In fact, he enabled Obamacare via Romneycare.

So don't start celebrating yet.

I remember the first Chick-fil-A Day, with the lines of customers quietly and courteously showing their feelings, in lines winding around the C-f-A stores.

And I’ve been telling people for over a month, that so many good American voters have the cruds of Obunga so bad, that November 6th is going to be Chick-fil-A Day to the 3rd power; with lines of R&R voters quietly and courteously winding around the polling places in numbers that will flummox the God-hating political elites!

If we aren’t willing to face the gravity of the situation, we aren’t likely to lean on Romney and the rest of our elected officials to do what really needs to be done.

The fiscal cliff will be there no matter who gets elected, at this point we’re only arguing about how steep it is and how far we fall.

The instant he is elected and proclaims the Keystone Pipeline a priority, and jerks the choke chain on the EPA, et al, opens up drilling, mining and Fracking, the sky is the limit!

If he then lowers taxes, sticks a knife in Obamacare, Dodd Frank and others — there will not be a Democrat President for at least 16 years...

Repricing, sell off either way I’m not suggesting a crash.

The world is awash in US dollars and I expect this trend to be much slower if not stopped.

This should have a negative impact on US exporters bottom line which can be offset by eliminating the taxation of repatriating overseas profits.

I would not want to be in US Banks for sometime. I would look at capital equipment/service providers, materials transports as a better allocation.

The sad thing is that 6 months ago 95% of FReepers would have backed up what I said.

Yup.

One thing we know for sure, if your patient
has a sucking chest wound and you don’t stop it up
they are going to DIE.
One of the things we have to do is prevent reinfection
which means democrats have to GO!
Get them out of the Senate, out of State, every where
they have their claws deep into the body politic.

RE :”The sad thing is that 6 months ago 95% of FReepers would have backed up what I said.
We’ve got a global financial calamity and it doesn’t have anything to do with Romney and not as much to do with Obama as some would like to believe.
Our financial mess goes back decades and I’m sick of hearing these excited little voices calling for a return to the glory of 2008. That’s a damn low bar and Americans should demand more. They should be demanding a return to the economic glory of the 1950s at least.
Sure Romney will be superior to Obama but I’m not falling into the trap of thinking its the best we can do.”

You make some great points there, esp about ‘2008 glory days’. In fact if the 2005 glory days were REALLY so great then the economy wouldn't have fell off a cliff 2007 to 2008.

I think the 1950s economy is not the least bit realizable now. In the 1950s the economy was so strong that it could support some income tax rates of 90%.

They didn't have anything like this globalized economy back then, the Far East was a third world and Europe was decimated by war. The US was able to move from a total war economy to a manufacturing economy with virtually NO competition. The Truman Doctrine made Western Europe welfare clients of the US because of those things, and we had the money to do it.

I appreciate your comment. I appreciate others who don't drink the Koolaid.

The world’s economic problems are far bigger than Romney and go back well before Obama.

That needed to be restated.

I find it completely disconcerting that we're seeing the same kind of blind quasi-religious devotion to Romney like we've seen with Obama's drones and Ron Paul's Mob Zombies. Suddenly Romney himself is going to stop the rising seas and save us from our debt and collapsing culture!

How anyone with a shred of intellect, looking at his record as a Liberal Democrat, can assume Romney is our national salvation - is beyond my capacity to comprehend.

Consequences of DECADES of the Ruling Class making Government God and spending us into oblivion, are just NOW beginning to be reaped.

We haven't seen ANYTHING yet, and Romney is not going to stop or fix this near-engineered collapse. He'll only exacerbate it, based on his record.

If Romney wins then QE on a monthly basis stops. Liquidity in the market dries up. Stocks will not rally, most likely fall. Gas/Oil stocks will rally. Loss of liquidity has effect on loan market and cretit is harder to find. Inflation will finally set in unless Romney has a magic rabbit in his hat.
