The Candy Crowley Tipping Point
The American Spectator ^ | 10/18/12 | Jeffrey Lord

She got it wrong.

She interfered.

She took a side.

Candy Crowley may finally have done something else as well: so visibly tipping the scales of media bias that the end result makes Mitt Romney the next president.

Taken all together, CNN's Candy Crowley, in her zeal to intrude on the presidential debate and save President Obama from himself, may just have provided the televised moment that finally sparks a revolt against the four years of fawning coverage of President Obama.

Becoming to the liberal media what the Tet Offensive was to Lyndon Johnson and the Vietnam War.

For four years the mainstream media has done everything in its power to portray Barack Obama as the Second Coming, the messiah, or, in the immortal words of one-time Newsweek honcho Evan Thomas, "God." Chris Matthews described thrills down his leg. Katie Couric purred in a sycophantic Obama interview with hard hitting questions like this:

You're so confident Mr. President, and so focused. Is your confidence ever shaken? Do you ever wake up and say "damn, this is hard"?

Tuesday night Candy Crowley became the latest -- and perhaps the most important -- example of what Fox's Bernard Goldberg called in his book title A Slobbering Love Affair: The True (And Pathetic) Story of the Torrid Romance Between Barack Obama and the Mainstream Media.

Did all of the Germans hate the Jews? I don’t think so. Then how could the abuse and slaughter of the Jews happen with so little interference? It was originally put down to the Prussian militaristic streak of obedience in the German people. I don’t think so. Germany was considered to be very progressive in the 1930s. I think the German people looked the other way because the National Socialists were promising them a utopia. Yes, the lies and the stealing and the killing was bad, but the Nazis were promising them utopia. That’s what I think is going on with our press. “Yes, the Democrats lie and steal and get Americans killed, but look at the utopia they want to give us!” And thus, 300,000 babies are killed each year in this country while the press proudly marches to hell.

They won't have any problem getting Candy out to Martha's Vineyard next summer for her vacation with the Obama’s that she earned Tuesday night. It's been at least 4 years since Ted was out there, but I'm sure the local dockworkers can still remember how to load and unload a big fish.

From the article:
In the case of the Vietnam War, the Tet Offensive -- which was actually thwarted by the U.S. military of the day -- was presented to the American people as a military disaster. While the war formally went on until 1973, ending in a disastrous evacuation, the media portrayal of the Tet Offensive attack tipped the scales. The opposition that was once limited to far leftist student protestors went mainstream and eventually forced an end to the war -- although not to Communist murder and oppression as was promised by anti-war activists. Two months and a day after all the negative media coverage of Tet in January of 1968 -- Lyndon Johnson, the liberal darling of 1964's Johnson/Goldwater race -- dropped out of his race for re-election.

Tet was a Big Deal. No minor thing.

The Big Deal wasn't Tet itself. While Tet wasn't minor by any means, it certainly wasn't the total military disaster for the U.S. that the media made it out to be.

The real Big Deal about Tet was the media's ability and willingness to lie about it in order to undermine support for the war.

His responses were so scripted and rehearsed they sounded memorized during debate...

Exactly. I caught that the very first time he spoke. His lack of er, uh, ect. was a dead giveaway.

I must get 5 emails a day from different people in the Romney campaign asking for donations.

I swear that until they take a stand against the liberal debate moderators... no more $$$. McCain sabotaged his elections, and it appears that Romney’s people are sabotaging his. Sure, it looks like he’s ahead in the polls, but anything can happen. There’s an excellent chance that Schieffer will be just as bad as, or worse than, Crowley.

Your opinion solicited.

Did Romney make a calculated decision early on to NOT contest the debate moderators and accept whoever they put up? Did he calculate that they would not be able to help themselves, and expose themselves during the debate as Obamatons?

And does he have enough self-confidence to say that he could handle, on his feet, anything they threw at him?

Did he dare hope that one of them (like Candy Crowley) would actually try to blatantly rig the questions, as happened Tuesday night? And become the public fraud that she now is?

Is Romney that smart?

Will that turn out to be the winning strategy?

Because if it works, he wins the election, AND exposes the media ONCE AGAIN as integral component of the liberal/academic/media Axis.

This is the BIGGEST thing that I thought came out of that debate!

Democrats look into the camera and lie through their teeth to the American people, the media swears to it, and then with his "Candy, can you say that again?" Obama showed that they go back and use the "press" as their propaganda machine to propaganize their lies.

We've been laughed at and called paranoid for decades and decades every time we called "Media Bias", but this incident ripped off the mask to show that it does indeed exist.

I just couldn't figure out why none of the other talking heads noticed it.

Dems lie, media swears to it and dems ask for repeats until the lie becomes truth or at least the truth is confused into being a lie.

Your opinion solicited.

Check out The Presidential Debates Are Nothing But Scripted Beauty Contests.

The entire article is worth a read and a watch (it contains three videos. The second video, Who's Afraid of an Open Debate? The Truth About the Commission on Presidential Debates , directly answers your questions.

The bottom line: The whole process is rigged from top to bottom, the MSM is indeed an integral part, Mittens is nowhere as smart as he seems, Obozo is a lot dumber than he seems, and dissent is not permitted.

Please feel free to post the entire article in its own thread, and please ping me if you do.
