I have a theory about the anomalous jobs report figures. A few weeks ago, before the report came out, there was a minor news story on the national wires about expected seasonal job hiring for the holidays. I thought it was peculiar at the time that they aired such a story since it seemed premature for making such pronouncements. We usually hear it after Halloween and before Thanksgiving. At the request of the White House, the dept of labor stats may have rolled these “projections” into the mix to inflate the numbers. For what it’s worth.

Regardless of the number of jobs that were “created”, it was greatly exceeded by the number of jobs that were ABOLISHED by both executive decree and excessive regulation.

And not insignificant jobs either - many were in the energy extraction and delivery industries, like the Keystone pipeline and the shutting down of natural gas and petroleum production in the Gulf of Mexico.

The excessive regulation as applied to coal mining and the power plants powered by coal, particularly the declaration of carbon dioxide as a “pollutant”, has gone over the top.

Obama lost 5 million jobs.

Last time I checked the DoL website, there were 133 million jobs. In 2008 there were 138 million jobs.
