Whistle-blower audio: Sen. Claire McCaskill’s husband cut business deals in Senate Dining Room
Daily Caller ^ | 10/18/2012 | Matthew Boyle

Posted on 10/18/2012 9:20:58 PM PDT by Optimist

Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill’s husband used the U.S. Senate Dining Room to cut business deals selling tax credits tied to stimulus money, a whistle-blowing executive inside his company alleged on an audio recording exclusively obtained by The Daily Caller

< snip >

“He [McCaskill’s husband] did 4 projects — these were rural development deals where he came in and stole from a guy and he did the federal credits and he got Enterprise Bank to invest in those four deals and those have been really iffy,” Woods said on the tape.

< snip >

Woods said those four projects — housing developments — were “all here in Missouri.” He explained how Shepard brokered deals with investors who counted on high returns in the form of federal and state tax credits that came with these projects. In return for the deals, Woods said, the investors gave Shepard cash he could use elsewhere in his business.

< snip >

Woods said one such project, in Clinton, Missouri, got “$5.5 million in stimulus funds. They didn’t have to borrow a dollar.”

Woods said Shepard “bundle[d]” that stimulus-funded project with two other projects that didn’t get stimulus money in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and Hannibal, Missouri, and took the tax credits from all three to an investor in the Baltimore-DC area

< snip >

“Does [Sen.] Claire [McCaskill] have an understanding of this?”

“Oh, hell yes,” Woods responded. “He [Shepard] doesn’t do anything — well, let me put it this way — he doesn’t do anything without Claire understanding it.”

“Sometimes he does it even if she says ‘I don’t want you to.’ .... But yeah, she’s aware of everything he does.”

The bigger question is, did Harry Reid know about this deal? And will
he stonewall an ethics investigation? The Donkeys flung all kinds of crap at Speaker Hastert over Mark Foley. This is much worse. Payback & popcorn time.

Ouch... That’s gonna leave a mark.

I don’t care which party is in charge, nor which level of government is involved... If $5.5M is spent in Clinton, MO, corruption is front and center.

She bragged tonight in the debate that she never voted to increase her salary as a Senator.

Well you don’t have to when you and your husband have your hands in the taxpayers’ pockets and vote to keep them there.

As Akin’s new ad says: When her hand came off the Bible it went directly into the taxpayers’ pockets.

Put a fork in her — Claire’s goose is cooked.

Whoa... What Akin said months ago made me absolutely cringe, but I like that line about McCaskill... good one!

I have seen a one new development in that town. It has been built in the past 3 years and it is senior housing. If it is the one, I wondered where all the money came from.

But will it? Hardly.

Just like Bonzo’s “explosive”, “breaking hard”, “bombshell” “viral” racist video from his 2007 performance at Hampton — you know, the video that surfaced just a few weeks ago.

That “bombshell” was a dud. The plain fact is that anything that could hurt ANY Rat candidate will be stifled completely by the so-called mainstream media.

And if they don’t report it — which they won’t — then it simply never happened. Just like all of these dirty deals that Claire and her hubby made. 99% of the public will never hear about them, therefore they never happened.

Last night's debate with Akin vs McCackles. Once again Akin made the comment “the only thing more scary than your insurance company standing between you and your doctor is the federal govt standing between you and your doctor.” Akin also stated that droves of businessmen come to his office frequently and complain about fines by inspectors. No matter what they do the inspectors always find something ..so clear that Claire is big govt and Akin fights big govt.

Regarding the new ad the McCaskill campaign is running to attract female voters. Akin has caught Claire in another lie. As an auditor she should have researched the facts unless she prefers to just lie and hope she gets away with it.

Akin's congressional office said it is not true that Akin pays women less categorically and pointed to the last quarter, in which women in Akin's office made more than men by $3,158 on average over four months, according to LegiStorm data pulled by Akin's office Thursday night.

"I think it's interesting that an auditor would chop off the last several years," said Akin's communications director and district director, Steve Taylor, referencing McCaskill's career as Missouri state auditor before here 2006 election to the Senate. Taylor called the accounting "somewhat disingenuous."

I thought Obama’s relationship with Rev. Wright would have brought him down but no one cared..it showed exactly the type of people Obama associated with...
Claire McCaskill is a public servant that works for the people of Missouri..yet when 71% of her constituents asked her not to vote for Obamacare..she did it anyway. Time to fire her.

Nothing about this in yesterday’s or today’s St. Joseph News Press. And our local podunk news cast (KQ2) didn’t say anything about it yesterday either.

I think it’s being buried.

The story is getting a tiny bit of traction in alternative media sources (like here) but a big fat zero in the “mainstream”. Since the media won’t do its job, whoever is funding the Akin campaign — if anyone is — needs to get ads on the air ASAP.

I still think Akin could win anyway, but there’s likely to be a LOT of ticket-splitting here; right-thinking people can’t stand Claire but they just won’t be able to pull the Akin lever since he is so ‘damaged’. Pity is that McCaskill would be much MORE damaged than Akin (who would then win in a landslide) if the media wasn’t a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Democrat party, and would just once report the truth about a corrupt Rat bastard.
