On Fox News' "The Five", former Democratic strategist Bob Beckel sounded defeated when reflecting on today's Gallup poll showing Mitt Romney taking a 52-45 percent lead over Barack Obama nationally. "It's over. If these numbers are true, it's over," Beckel said.

Some intellectual honesty from Mr. Beckel?
To: Impala64ssa
He seems to be deluded about the margin of error though claiming it was 4% rather than the actual 2%. If he were aware of this fact he really would admit that aria is the Fat Lady singing.

Some intellectual honesty from Mr. Beckel? I actually like to hear what he has to say...if Hannity would keep his mouth shut long enough for him to make a complete sentence.

I rarely agree with beckel, but I do with his thoughts about this election being over. All that is left is to enjoy how large a victory this will be and watch all the MSNBC pundits heads explode as they try to grasp just how badly thier “savior” lost. Poor Beckel
To: Impala64ssa
I believe the split is even greater, more like 56% to 42%. Just like the
real unemployment rate is 14% instead of the bogus spout of 7.8%
And if the election has even a wider margin on Nov 6th it would not surprise me.

We voted on Wednesday. I hope these apparent positive polls don’t make the right too complacent and think they don’t need to show up. We want an amazing landslide so there isn’t a “no mandate” whine as with Bush.

It isn’t over until the fat lady sings.
To: MayflowerMadam
Why is it when the polls run good for the left... then everyone states that people want to support a winner and that the positive polls will drive even more people to vote for the leftard... but when the polls are great for the right... people start preaching doom and gloom about complacency... and a loss for the one enjoying the better poll numbers?

John Williams, at shadowstats.com, with the same government data but the methodology government used prior to the 1990s claims the unemployment figure at 22%, not 14%, and not 7.8%.

That is like totally awesome! ROFL!
