Modern academia has gone astray and identity studies programs are in large part the culprit, argues author and poet Bruce Bawer in his new book ”The Victims’ Revolution: The Rise of Identity Studies and the Closing of the Liberal Mind.”
“Identity studies sum up everything that’s wrong with the humanities today,” Bawer told The Daily Caller. “They’re about nothing other than group identity, group oppression, and group grievance. Instead of engaging in objective scholarly study of, say, black American history or women’s literature, these departments are boosters for everything having to do with the group in question. It’s all slogans. Kids don’t learn anything other than to think of themselves as having been wronged by capitalism, by the West, by America, by white men.”
Bawer says that this has consequences beyond the classroom.

Looking at the result of the Left’s politically correct studies, brainwashing is a realistic term to describe the outcome.
The most successful recent and new campaign has been the homo brainwashing. It’s been systematic and brutal against children.
We should begin referring to the race and homo obsessed as brainwashed people who can not think like a normal, free human being. The more “educated” you are in liberalism, the more brainwashed you are. The more brainwashed you are, the “smarter” you think you are.
Or as I like to refer to it, academia nuts.

Just this past spring a guy I know attended his grandson’s graduation from UofM. He said that well over half of those graduating had gotten their degrees in “nonsense” stuff
And they wonder why over half of those college grads can’t get a job?
It couldn’t possibly be because they elected to get themselves educated in something no real people give a d-— about could it?

Students spend four to five years studying nonsense then they forty years complaing about their student loans.

Not to mention it serves as the bases for idiotic court rulings and government pay offs to minority victim groups like the Black Farmer pay off.
I am so tired of these phony victims lining up with their hands out saying you wronged me now pay me.
My ancestors didn’t get here until the late 1880’s to 1900; long after the civil war. They never owned slaves and probably never met one.
Most of the people in this country are descended from immigrants that arrived after the civil war, so these professional victims need to get on with their lives by their own efforts.
My Irish ancestors were discriminated against when they arrived in this country but you don’t hear me or my cousins crying out for redress of the grievances of those ancestors. What right do I have to ask for compensation for wrongs against an ancestor and who should pay? How would I identify these people who should pay?
In my opinion discrimination is rare in this country today. What exist today is most likely what is termed reverse discrimination. Today the most likely person to suffer from adverse treatment because of the demographic group he occupies would be the White Male Christian (especially if he is young). This group is singled out as a privileged group who because of past privileged treatment received by this group must be put at a disadvantage today. So even though these particular individuals have never been the recipient of privilege they are to be disadvantaged in favor of privileged minority groups.
The obvious injustice of this treatment escapes the peddlers of ethnic studies.
If you are a victim in the US today you are probably trying to be.

Any course with the word “Studies” is academic “self satisfaction”.
I can just see employers while interviewing job applicants looking at resumes and seeing the ones with degrees in Black, Women’s (sorry Womyn’s), or Queer studies throwing them in the trash after the prospective employee leaves the interview.

Most of our major corporations are quite liberal w liberal management...so those job applicants w Black, Women, and Queer studies degrees are getting the interviews and jobs.
