More mines closing, more miners out of work. Joe Manchin must be so proud of himself.
To: Timber Rattler
Bet those miners will teach Romney a lesson by voting for Obama.

How can union leadership STILL support Obama? And how can the rank and file members blindly listen to their leaders and vote for Obama? If any of them vote for Obama, then they deserve the mine closures and job losses.

Rumor here in WV coal country is that a significant number of Democrats, especially but not exclusively miners, are intending to vote straight-ticket Republican to get back at Obama. I personally have observed this at our Republican campaign headquarters.
To: wildandcrazyrussian
I’m hearing the same thing in SWVA from my friends and family, many Democrats themselves. Obama’s name is dung there.

Mechel is a Russian-based coal and steel producer, founded in 2003 according to the company’s website.
Russian based?

Not sure why.
He TOLD them he was going to bankrupt the coal industry.
They knew exactly what they were buying with that vote in November 2007.
To: Perseverando
Russia has no EPA to worry about and lots of coal in its big mountains.

Mancin campaigned on one thing - then when he got to the Senate, voted lockstep with the Democrats. He deserves to be retired due to back stabbing his constiuency.

Two years ago, the NRA (yes, the National RIFLE Association) swore up and down that a vote for Joe Manchin was a "Vote For Freedom" ...
Joe Manchin is a socialist demonicRat, and a goose-step 0bama follower.
