Todd Akin. Probably the worst campaign management in recent history.
Lets think of this for a second though: Wouldn’t it be grand if he won ANYWAY? (And it’s looking more and more like he has a shot). I mean we here on FR can all agree with that right (that’d be grand if he wins despite his foot in mouth disease?). At least I’m pretty sure those of us on FR who are truly pro-life surely would be happy.
So if he loses, there will be plenty of blame to go around for sure. But at this point it serves no real conservative cause to bring up “THE Gaffe”, or any mistakes that are in the past. If he wins after all, anyone bashing him now will feel pretty stupid right? If they are also pro-life?
I know that’s why I’m biting my tongue till after the election. And if he wins, for me, it’ll be a forgotten “bump in the road”.
Hey...where are all the Pro-Abort PhonyCon Liberals who wanted Akin pushed out? Where? Where?
And people wanted to toss Akin out for a comment...and help Crooked Claire win re-election
Real Conservatives always supported Akin. Real Conservatives correct again
———defection of almost all of the Republican establishment from supporting him-——
For the Missouri Republican establishment, what other choice do they have? Do they stay home and endure the woman 6 more years out of spite?
I can see but not understand the DC establishment shunning Aiken but can in no way see Missouri Republicans actually deserting him once in the voting booth?
Comments from some one who can shed real light?
What say you turd blossom??
Look, personally I can’t stand the idea of the guy in congress. However I felt the same way about Mccain. I even said I was voting for him hoping the stress would incapacitate him and Palin could take over. So yeah, this will not be the first time I have held my nose and voted Republican.
Akin is down 8 points today per Rassmussen - amazingly, he's running 11 points behind ROMNEY, meaning 10% of Missouri likely voters intend to vote for Romney but not Akin.
Of course, nobody bothered to post a thread about that poll - you need to ignore the advocacy group push polls.
Akin is hopelessly behind and I think the chance that he costs the Republicans control of the Senate is high. A dead corpse with an R beside his name would beat McCaskill - Akin is doomed, however.
Can you post that poll with its internals???
WHY do Dems never take their husband’s name when they marry??? weird.
The Rasmussen poll sampled 500 likely Missouri voters Oct. 17, and has a margin for error of plus or minus 4.5 points.
So that when they get caught doing such nefarious things as this they cannot easily be traced to the spouse.
While many in Missouri know McCaskill, very few know the last name of her husband.
