Shortly after Obamacare was passed and signed by the President, Michael Tanner of the Cato Institute noted a sudden plethora of articles that had begun to appear in a wide variety of MSM outlets about the probable ill-effects of "reform." This prompted him to ask, "Where were these reporters before the passage of the health care bill?" The answer to this question is now pretty obvious. They were colluding, via JournoList and other such forums that we don't know about, to make sure that no one screwed up and told the truth before that morass of taxes and regulations became the law of the land. To the nation's cost, their self-censorship succeeded.
Today, we face a similar but much more dangerous situation. The "reporters" of the establishment news media are engaged in a concerted campaign of misinformation to get Barack Obama re-elected. This has been evident for some time, but the breathtaking mendacity of this effort was writ large by Candy Crowley during last Tuesday's presidential debate. Everyone has by now seen the video clip: the President made the preposterous claim that he had identified the attack on our Benghazi consulate as an act of terrorism as early as September 12. Then, when Romney called him on this egregious whopper, Crowley repeated the lie.

IF Obama can win re-election with the country in this shape, people should be VERY afraid; I’ve told myself that it just isn’t possible. Rush is right that Obama should be in the 70% range due to all the work his media is doing for him; if the media is just going to pick our leaders anyway then it is at open war with the American people (as Obama clearly already is).
I hope I’m not kidding myself when I say this election won’t even be close; Romney should be coasting to an easy win.
I agree. With the economy in the toilet, and the foreign policy disasters it’s downright scary Obama will get 45%.

A year ago I was posting that they’d find a reason (health?) for Obama to avoid running for re-election; I couldn’t believe even back then that he had a prayer of winning. Before he focused on Republicans, he spent a lot of time and effort putting down any attempts in his own party to replace him on the ballot.
This goes beyond the regular ignorance of many Americans; this is a concerted effort (along the lines of Red China or the Soviets) to so carefully restrict the flow of information to citizens it is frightening.

Everything I’ve seen (especially the elections held since The Sultan ascended the throne) indicates that this is the case; how does the media get back on the air the day after the election if this is a landslide win for Romney?

Not positive. The author says it in the article, but it is not sourced. About a week ago I read somewhere that American embassies around the world were being attacked and that it wasn’t being reported, but I don’t remember where I read it. I’ll do some google searching tonight.

Regardless of the election results, IMPEACHMENT proceedings against Obama should begin immediately.

What can you expect from people who are constantly bombarded with lies? I expect people to use their own 2 eyes to tell them what is going on, but I know that too many people are too trusting (or simply stupid).
There was a reason why during his rise to power Mussolini repeatedly burned down the offices of the communist newspapers; they were a cancer that he (and much of Europe) saw as the true threat to their way of life that they actually represented.
I think I may have read it a week or so ago in The Washington Times. Not positive though. Gonna do some investigating.
