Not only is the U.S. economy in shambles, violent crime is at an all-time high and new federal statistics show that 2011 saw the biggest increase in criminal activity in nearly two decades with a large boost in the rate of “violent victimizations” for whites.
The rate of violent crime increased by a whopping 17% last year, according to the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS), marking the biggest jump since 1993. Property crimes also went up 11% last year. That means that in 2011 there were nearly 6 million violent victimizations and more than 17 million property victimizations, according to the DOJ figures.
In an apparent effort to downplay the alarming statistics the feds explain in a press release that the swelling of violent crime is due to an increase in the number of aggravated and simple assaults. There was no “statistically significant change” in the number of more serious crimes such as rapes, sexual assaults and robberies, according to the explanation.
The Obama Administration also asserts that the 2011 increase appears so large because crime rates were at historically low levels in 2010. The bottom line is that violent crime is growing at a much faster rate than the economy. One liberal news website quoted renowned criminal justice professor saying that the stagnant economy may be driving more Americans to break the law. It’s part of “larger problems,” the expert says.

I am really disappointed in Judicial Watch.
Despite the recent rise, the violent crime rate has dropped 72% from its peak in 1993.
You can argue about whether the stats are accurate, but you can't argue they say something they just don't say.

Imagine how much worse it will get with 4 more years of Obama and his democrats in power.
Simple economics; decreasing the cost of an activity increases the activity and vice-versa.
There's no additional penalties involved in brutalizing a white person while a white (or Hispanic) person risks his freedom for engaging in self-protection.
On second thought, in that environment the victim has already lost his freedom.
Not to mention that, for many blacks, prison is just a second home, so it’s not considered a penalty to go there.
I know what I'm seeing in the grocery stores and at the quick stops. I see contempt and hatred in the eyes and actions of black women.
Not all of them, no, but, a majority for sure.
I don't know how to say what I need to say. Young black women block my path, elbow me if I am in their way; if I say "excuse me", I receive contemptuous views or outright dismissal.
Elderly black women seem to want peace. They are overly polite. I know what I need to say, but it is so hard to say it.

________________________________________________________ Perhaps inadvertently, you have brought up an interesting twist. Blacks are drawn to islam as a way to demean and/or hurt whites. It appeals to the basest among them.
Tawana Brawley claims to be a Muslim, but I have my doubts. I don't think the average bottom of the barrel individual of any ethnicity has what it takes to become a Muslim. Islam isn't just a matter of a declaration of faith. You have to pray five times a day and refrain from drinking, taking drugs, gambling or fornicating with random strangers - all activities that people of Brawley's class have seriously difficulties with. It's easy enough to abide by these strictures in places like Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, where like-minded people are everywhere and punishments for breaking the rules are severe, but any non-Muslim society is full of temptation.
Something about that “I want you to get in their faces” rings true. I was attacked by 3 “disadvantaged urban yoots” last week. At 55, I put one down, got gang kicked by 2, still got my wallet and still got my dignity. Zero started this shi*.
