Victims Outraged as Feds Refuse to Call Fort Hood Attack Terrorism

Victims of the 2009 shooting at Fort Hood in Texas that killed 13 people and wounded dozens more are outraged that the U.S. government refuses to classify it as an act of terrorism.

About 160 victims and their families released a video on Thursday describing the shooting — in which Army Maj. Nidal Hasan allegedly opened fire on a room full of soldiers — and arguing why it should be classified as a terrorist attack. ......

The U.S. Department of Defense has ruled the Nov. 5, 2009, shooting a case of workplace violence. ...... Hasan consulted by email with top al-Qaida leader Anwar al-Awlaki about whether an attack against American soldiers was justified to “protect our brothers,” according to Stars and Stripes. ....... Meanwhile, a military appeals court judge has ruled that Hasan, who remains hospitalized from gunshot wounds received from two police officers who responded to the shooting, can have his beard forcibly shaved before trial.

The trial has been delayed for months over the issue of Hasan’s facial hair, which he said he grew for religious reasons.

But the judge this week sided with military court rules requiring defendants to appear in court in uniform and clean-shaven.

Attorneys for Hasan, who faces the death penalty, plan to appeal the ruling.

In the November 2009 shooting, dozens of others were wounded, and 12 remain hospitalized, Army Col. John Rossi told KAUT-TV in Oklahoma City on Thursday.

We better get the sodomite, islamist out of the white house with all his Marxist/Brotherhood/sodomite buddies.

Corruption in the US is so rampant it may be too late with all the zombies voting and counting the votes. God help us. Degeneracy is so rampant with the godless schools spitting out generations of useful idiots indoctrinated with the TV cr*p, they are totally devoid of morality and logic.

Just remember the same thing is going on weekly in Afghanistan. It's not work place violence, it's infiltration and terrorist Jihad.

Obama probably thinks it is workplace violence that is a bump in the road and not optimal.

Maj. Hasan, he be one of Holder's people. Of course they can't call it anything but workplace violence. After all Gen. Casey said that the important thing was that the diversity survived. Forget the dead and wounded. The diversity survived.

I'd strip him of his rank and pension so quick, his head would spin off his shoulders.

Purge the Pentagon and purge the State Department, the sleepers have awoken!!!

Really, what else did you expect when a (m)uslim sympathizer is the director of the circus in Washington D.C. Or hasn’t any one noticed that he has a problem pronouncing the words (m)USLIM TERRORISTS?

From the article:

“We’re working pretty hard for our guys right now to get them the recognition and compensation they deserve,” Kathy Stalnaker said in the video. Her husband, Sgt. Rex Stalnaker, has severe post-traumatic stress disorder from the incident. “We want to keep it in front of the public.”

Classifying the shooting as terrorism will allow the victims to receive combat-related special compensation that provides disability pay for medically retired service members, Stars and Stripes reports. Manning, who was shot six times, was recently denied such benefits.

The victims also would be eligible for Purple Hearts and medals for valor, Stars and Stripes reports.

While classifying this terror attack as workplace violence is ridiculous and despicable, this is about the money and awards.

I can't blame them but let's be honest about it.

IIRC, military members at the Pentagon on 9/11 requested but were denied combat ribbons.

That doesn't surprise me considering the bizarre behavior i witnessed in the Army and DOD in DC immediately after 9-11 and for some time. The general officer level were not fixated on destroying those who had attacked us. There was none of the attitude of Halsey when he viewed the smoking ruin of pearl harbor from the bridge of the USS Enterprise ; “When we finish the Japanese language will only be spoken in hell.” Far from it. There was general panic and dismay and a lot of lashing out in all directions mostly at the people who worked for these enementos. There was also a palpable sense of fear on the part of a lot of the military leadership that many of the relaxation of security that Clinton had put in place was going to come back and bite them for not offering any pushback to these foolish measures. So instead of a sort of cold relentless determination to crush the people who attacked the US there was a demoralized suspicious and angry atmosphere within the Beltway military establishment. The risk aversive bureaucratic mentality that has been fostered in the US armed forces since Robert McNamara displayed itself in this dumbfounded and shaken general and flag officers. As I look back on this period it is now clear that much of the confused and muted way the US government has gone after the terrorists had its origins then. The muted sorrowful way the 9-11 memorial service was carried out complete with a weaselly double talking mullah from the DC Islamic Center set the tone. I have no use for the Mahdi and his cronies but hard as it is to say this , the Bush people started the ‘kinder gentler’ approach to the terrorists and their Muzzy enablers and the military leadership displayed greater concern for their careers than in relentless prosecution of the war.

I don't know if the Bush people started it but they sure as hell promoted the "islam means peace" crap (it means submission).

For a long time the military has had too many mamby pamby bureaucratic higher ranking officers who are more politician than military.
