Howie thread for the week starting with his Sunday Boston Herald column "It's Meltdown Time in Moonbat Nation". btw George McGovern died and I think that may be the person that Howie _wouldn't_ allow in the death pool because it was getting obvious he was about to go (or maybe it was someone else?)

It’s Code Red in Moonbat nation

The moonbats are melting down. They look at the polls, they see Romney ahead, and they react the only way they know how — badly.

An outbreak of Bush Derangement Syndrome, a mental disorder previously believed to have been eradicated in 2009, was observed last week at Hofstra University.

MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell, the tough street kid from St. Sebastian’s and Harvard, challenges Tagg Romney, that wimp from Belmont Hill, to a fistfight. Preppie-on-preppie crime.

Ann Romney is badgered on “The View” about Mormonism, by yentas who would never dare say anything negative about, say, Islam.

After midnight the guilt-ridden trustafarians toss and turn in their beds, their prescription antidepressants and opiates powerless against the dread that fills their vacant skulls.

President Mitt Romney? Aaaarrrrrgh!!!

Barack Obama, reduced to the presidency ... of the Choom Gang.

Your average moonbat is approaching the checkout counter — sensible shoes, gray ponytails, tent-like dresses, handicap placards. And now, what’s left of their minds are going through the changes again.

If Mitt wins, they’ll have to go back to holding candlelight vigils every Saturday night on their suburban commons. New bumper stickers will have be ordered — Mitt Lied, (Fill in the Blank) Died. They’ll think of somebody Mitt killed. After all, he’s a Republican.

If their Messiah loses, the Patriot Act will suddenly become unconstitutional again. For the first time in four years, drone strikes in Afghanistan will be genocide.

Hey hey, ho ho, Camp Gitmo’s gotta go.

If Mitt wins, Barack won’t be able to finish lowering the sea levels?

Come back Cindy Sheehan, all is forgiven. Ditto, Code Pink.

Four-dollar-a-gallon gas — it won’t be good for the environment anymore, not if a Republican is living in the White House. It’ll be the biggest outrage of all time. Damn Big Oil!

Moonbats hate Matt Drudge, but now they’re praying he was right when he speculated last night that Gloria Allred has found a new scorned woman who’s about to drop another big sex scandal on the GOP.

Can you imagine the indignities of a Romney presidency? Who knows if most of these wrinkly moonbats will even survive long enough to see decorative French ticklers and hash pipes back on the White House Christmas tree, as in the glory days of the Clinton administration.

Bitter clingers riding high.

A president who goes to church on Sunday? What’s next, work requirements for welfare recipients?

President Mitt Romney? No more apology tours of the Mideast, no more bowing and scraping to tinpot dictators.

Did you watch Comrade Chris Matthews last week questioning whether it was constitutional for Mitt Romney to interrupt the One Who Sends Thrills Up His Leg?

Only 16 days to turn it around. And if the One can’t, well ... Elizabeth Warren for President 2016.

I listened in the other day when he was conducting the death pool. Howie, right out of the gate said, “George McGovern was not going to be allowed in the death pool, because he wouldn’t be down for breakfast soon.”

Not really nice to say this, but if asked about The Most Forgettable Candidate For President in my experience, George would have a lock on the title.

Trailed by a couple of points by that doofus got married to the Heinz widow. (No, I won’t even type his name out loud.)

Thanks, that’s what I thought he’d said and as soon as I saw the news I figured I’m mention it. No doubt he’ll have to say it again tomorrow. “No, he was not in...”

George would have a lock on the title.

Probably. I used to give him points for his business regulation epiphany, but after reading his obit, it really wasn't one.

I'd make the case that he suffered long term PTSD that turned into an OCD that prevented him from thinking rationally about reality, choosing instead, to depending on the liberal equivalent of fairy dust to "make things right".

Don't for get the New York Times... they'll go from 'clueless' on corruption to investigative reporter par excellence... When Mitt's President there will not be one ten year old parking ticket unworthy of front page coverage...

A person spitting in the general direction of an American Embassy have the Times editorial staff calling for impeachment...

Their high horses are lined up and ready...

Benghazi swept under rug
By Howie Carr | Tuesday, October 23, 2012 | http://www.bostonherald.com

What’s the difference between Watergate and Benghazi?

Nobody died at Watergate.

Yet on the eve of last night’s third and final presidential debate, the mainstream media were practically unanimous in their verdict on Benghazi.

Nothing to see here, folks. Move along.

Amazing, these are the same rumpswabs and bumkissers who a few years back were in high dudgeon about Valerie Plame — remember Valerie Plame? She was outed as a CIA agent of sorts (she’d worked in Paris, and her cover was a journalist — sounds real dangerous, doesn’t it?). Oh my God, this was the biggest scandal since ... Watergate.

A constitutional crisis is what Valerie Plame was. Just ask any of the same Ivy League pukes who were on television Sunday, trying to sweep the Benghazi massacre under the rug.

A New York Times [NYT] reporter named Helene Cooper pooh-poohed the four murders (lynchings, actually) as “peripheral to what’s going on now.”

Only because Brian Ross couldn’t tie the al-Qaeda cell in Benghazi to the Tea Party, right Helene?

Then there was Joe Klein of Time magazine. He said Benghazi “has been like the October mirage — it really isn’t an issue.”

President Obama couldn’t agree more. After all, he flew off to Las Vegas for a fundraiser as soon as he heard about the four deaths.

There’s a video on YouTube right now of a 93-year-old World War II veteran in a hospital bed, with his daughter helping him cast what will likely be his last presidential ballot. It’s very popular — viral, as they say.

You know what I’d love to see next on YouTube — these “reporters” for dying rags like the Times and Time writing their final stories about the presidential elections, because I have a feeling their agit-prop sheets are going to be as defunct as that WWII veteran (or Newsweek) four years from now.

Naturally, the Times has decided that any news about Benghazi is not “fit to print.” Until yesterday, when the two Democrats in last night’s debate — Obama and Bob Schieffer — needed some ammo against reality to use against Romney.

So the Times has invented a new narrative, to explain why U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice went on five different chattering-skull shows Sept. 16 to blame the al-Qaeda attacks on the “disgusting and reprehensible” video that no one had ever seen.

Even as Rice was not telling the truth, the Times reported, “Intelligence analysts suspected that the explanation was outdated.”

In other words, she wasn’t lying. She was using “outdated” information.

Later that same all-Rice, all-the-time Sunday, the intel people “were already sifting through new field reports that seemed to contradict the initial assessment.”

You don’t say!

Drudge has a video of 'journalists' showing their sadness about Obama losing the debate... I'll find it and share it with you. Insightful comments raccoonradio...

Romney obviously made a clear choice to not rip The Mombasa MF a new one last night. He was patient, soft-spoken, polite, took a biiiig load of shiite from Shieffer and the other guy. Good psychology .... I guess ... and hope.

BTW, the POTUS is looking very different than he used to ... has he had plastic surgery ... more weight loss ... what? BTW, to give him his due, he either is getting better at memorizing the crap and pap pre-digested for him ... or that suit is electronically enhanced.

breaking Finneran pension revoked

http://bostonherald.com/news/politics/view.bg?articleid=1061170298&pos=breaking

<<The state’s retirement board revoked disgraced former House Speaker Thomas Finneran’s pension today in a unanimous vote.

Finneran’s pension was worth $30,900 a year when it was suspended in 2007 after he pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice charges.

With cost of living increases, his pension would have been worth $33,096 a year today.

Globe’s Gloria Allred link a new low
By Howie Carr | Friday, October 26, 2012 | http://www.bostonherald.com | Columnists

Here’s how old I am. I can remember when the Globe was a newspaper, not a pathetic rag and errand boy for the Democrat Party.

The bow-tied bumkissers have suffered through a lot of lows during the past few years — the plagiarizing and fabricating columnists; the porno picture they claimed was U.S. soldiers raping Iraqi women; the sob story about a cop killer who couldn’t get a good job; the Vietnam veteran junkie killer who’d never been to Vietnam; identifying the wrong killers of the Dartmouth professors; the phony poll that had Scott Brown losing by 15 points; the Whitey-kept-the-drugs-out-of-Southie meme, etc.

But this one may be the most embarrassing yet. They get into bed with Obama mouthpiece Gloria Allred and a scorned woman named Maureen Stemberg to try to throw the election to Barack Obama. How very “60 Minutes” of the bow-tied bumkissers.

It was supposed to be the moonbats’ October Surprise.

You can’t blame the Obama mob. Divorce records are the only way they know to win elections. But how did they scam the Globe into going after 20-year-old depositions that have been endlessly hashed over in the press, including their own pages? Remember, this is a paper that has absolutely no interest in trying to get Elizabeth Warren’s employment applications to Harvard, to find out whether the fake Indian lied to get her $350,000-a-year job.

Hey, Marty Baron, I hope this doesn’t affect your chances to become editor of the Washington Post. They’re almost as in the bag for His Oneness as the Globe, but at least they ran their poll last night showing him trailing Mitt, 50-47.

At some point yesterday the Globe realized it was a national laughingstock yet again, so they cut Gloria Allred loose. She immediately accused the blow-in drifters who run the paper of a “double cross.” Is there no honor among thieves?

Marty, when did you realize you were out on a limb? Was it when you started reading all those punctuation-challenged tweets from someone named “Maureen Stemberg” at the Huffington Post about the Romneys and Mormons:

“One word: Deplorable!... These people are not healthy. Another word: SCARY!!”

(I guess at the Globe it’s as fashionable to hate Mormons as it is to despise Catholics.)

“Yet even in Biz he only has a very small circle of friends. I have seen that side of him about 15 years ago. He & She were at my home for a Xmas party... I think he has a terrible time with dealing with the 47%. I truly do believe he has a fear and dislike for anyone who has less than 99,000,000! He just can’t relate and obviously queen ann is the same.”

And the Globe was trying to get the gag order lifted on Stemberg, who made a bad decision to sell much of her Staples stock and now blames her ex’s business partner?

But of course, now it’s just another disgraceful episode in the final chapter of America’s Worst Newspaper.

I can still remember when Nixon’s enemies list came out and three Globe writers were on it — George Frazier, Marty Nolan and Bob Healy. I was proud to be a reader then. Now I’m equally proud — to be an ex-reader.

The only issue for democrats is abortion... have you watched their ads? Here's why...

Dem males don't want children with 'easy' liberal women like Maureen Dowd, Fluke or chippie little Monicas... Dem 'men' want to play without pay. "My place or yours' for dems is better than 'he said his first word today'...

It's why liberal women aren't having children. Their 'men' talk them into killing their babies so they aren't 'stuck' with a child or child support.

It's a one issue party and that issue is abortion. Dem elites are on board with that... They're not protecting women, they're protecting their right to use them and lose them... Everything else slides - the economy, national debt, jobs... dems don't care about anything other than abortion. Watch their ads...

If Obama's reelected the darkness is our future...

The Plame Game was a set-up from the git-go. Her husband was a consultant/crook who shot his fat mouth off about her work in every bar in Georgetown. Not much of a secret agent.

It was not an intelligence thing, it was a book deal for her, and a consulting scam for him. Both of'em ought to have been horsewhipped naked down M street... and would have been if Bush could talk.
