The Obama-loving media were out in force Sunday downplaying the significance of the White House's ever-changing position on the attacks on our consulate in Benghazi last month.
After New York Times White House correspondent Helene Cooper called the death of four Americans "peripheral to what's going on right now" on Meet the Press, Time magazine's Joe Klein told Face the Nation viewers this matter "has been like the October mirage - it really isn't an issue" (video follows with transcript and commentary):
Joe Klein: Benghazi Consulate Attack Controversy 'The October Mirage - It Really Isn't An Issue'
JOE KLEIN, TIME MAGAZINE: Tomorrow night is fascinating because, in truth, these guys don't disagree all that much on all this stuff. They essentially have the same positions on foreign policy. This business about the, you know, the Libya consulate has been like the October mirage - it really isn't an issue. And so, once again, tomorrow, Obama is going to have a very strong position because his foreign policy has been largely successful in terms of substance, but in terms of style, he still has to climb -- re-climb the mountain and make a convincing case to the American people that they will be more comfortable with him in their living rooms the next four years.
Honestly, have you ever in your life seen so many so-called journalists dismiss the importance of American officials being killed by terrorists?
Makes you wonder why they all aren't forced to wear "Obama-Biden" buttons so viewers would better understand the propagandist nature of the reports they're watching and reading.
I’m ashamed to share the same country with such ungrateful, gutless, skirt-hiding, presstitute sissies.
I had made up my mind that Romney should avoid getting into the tall weeds with this issue, but now that Klein has weighed in, I may have to reconsider my position.
If this dickweed, Klein, was one of those four Americans murdered in Benghazi, I’ll bet he’d think it was an “issue”.
The Party of Death Spokesman...............
Certainly not an issue for REMF’s like the marxist weasel Joe Klein. For those of us who give a crap when jihadists murder our fellow countrymen and especially our brothers or sisters in arms it is damn well an issue.
No, little Joey of Primary Colors fame....now a dead AMB and 3 others are just a BYMP IN THE ROAD to Obama’s PARADISE of SOCIALIST AMERICA!! <P.The Fourth Estate is our FIFTH COLUMN!!
Not only should Romney get into the Benghazi weeds, he should also jump headlong into the Ft Hood weeds where O’s reticence to call a terrorist attack a terrorist attack is costing wia’s and the families of kia’s benefits.
It’s really an insult to the American people when the Sunday morning crowd has political buffoon’s like Klein on their show.
I believe many of us are
But I am sure he thinks that mitt romney’s 12 year old tax return is a major issue
Benghazi is not an issue...
..and Joel Klein is an excellent reporter.
In bazaaro world, people will buy off on this.
Klein loses more credibility by the day...
I’m surprise his head doesn’t squeak, it’s running so low on 30 weight reason oil.
I’ll bet it was an issue to Stevens, Smith and 2 ex seals!!!! Libs make my head want to explode...but not gonna give them the satisfaction.
“Bunch of BLIPS....? Meh...! Don’t worry ‘bout it....”

Binders = big deal...Lying to American public about American deaths = no big deal. puke
The criminal negligence (at minimum) that led to the death of an Ambassador and 3 other Americans is not an issue, but a ‘binder’ is? What world do people like Klein delude in?
I want a fighter.
Otherwise, there’s no reason to lay down your life.
