The race is sufficiently close to permit a win through voter fraud. It may be narrow in numbers for Romney but will end up in the court and Chief Justice Roberts will determine that Obama is to big to fail so he will award the election to the Democrats because its not fair to vote out the first Kenyan borne/muslim president...
Damn, I thought we had a chance and now I find out we lost. Just damn.
I don’t know anything about working in television.
I’m trying to figure out why they might be doing an election “test run”....but I’ve come up with nothing except the obvious
I was going to stock up on celebration booze this week.
Should I still buy the booze?
LOL the winner of this election will be Mitt Romney..its so funny seeing leftists trying to convince themselves they have the election won..the ONLY way they win is if they suspend elections or throw out so many Republican ballots they win by default
> Should I still buy the booze?
Now that SeeBS has called the election for Obama, buy Kool-Aid instead.
Good. Maybe his voters won’t show up ‘cause they think the election is over.
Well the NBC/WSJ poll has finally described the election as a dead heat, after a week of denial.
Can’t this be considered a form of electioneering? It is the way I see it.
What say you, GOPe? House/Senate Republicans?
Boy the Dems are really desperate, aren’t they?
I hope it’s a case of self-delusion and not something more sinister
Another in the comments section...

Uh....something is frighteningly wrong with this.
yes, buy the booze. you will either be celebrating, or drowning your sorrow. Let’s pray for celebrating.
We wuz robbed!
whatever it is .....it’s bizarre.
Like they have a preset script and doing a test run.
I don’t really see how they could get away with that, but nothing surprises me anymore
The same station said Dewey won

Will there even BE a CBS in five years...? How about in TEN?
My bet is NO and crap like this is why.
It wont be close

"CBS knows we're ahead in the ground race. We have fixed everything - and we're only sorry they killed the suspense! Part of the fun is in getting people to believe Mitt Romney has a chance. Not from where the President stands. And that my dear friends - is the absolute truth! Who would you believe, the Republicans or our CBS affiliate? And that is the only thing that really matters - being an Information Minister is such a great privilege - and you can quote me on it."
well well well....isn’t that interesting.
if that is called electioneering, so is Hannity
whhhaaatttt??? the heck is that?
Should I still buy the booze?
Oh, I get it now.. 0bama issues an E.O. which allows the news media to determine who wins, regardless of popular vote or electoral college vote.
“I dont know anything about working in television.

I worked for a number of years in broadcasting. Mostly radio, but some television too. The answer is, there is no reason why they would be doing an election “test run” that would actually end up on the air.
Think about it like this. Let’s say tomorrow there is a ten car pile-up in their viewing area. They’re going to get that information on their ticker in a matter of seconds. There’s no test run for something specific like that because there’s no way anyone could know that it was going to happen.
It’s possible that they just wanted to see how the graphic would look, checking the alignment for instance. Still, there’s no reason why that would have to go out onto the air. In radio we had a method called “audition” where we could preview something that we wanted to put out over the air, but for our ears in the control room only. That was how we did things like cue up tapes (back when there were tapes). In television, a master control technician can do the exact same thing with graphics. There would be no reason for it to make it on to the air... Well, an accident can happen, or someone CAN do something on purpose for whatever reason.
But there really is no logical reason why this ever ended up on television. Worse yet, the affiliate isn’t answering questions about it as of yet when they should be explaining themselves right now in a very big way.
Oh you mean voter fraud..yeah I can pretty much guarantee thats gonna happen..this is the Dem party we are talking about here..thats how they win elections..our job is to stop them
How different is the election ticker than the regular ticker? Why didn’t we see test-run primary tickers?
The Ohio flub isn’t a ticker and certainly that could have been tested without throwing it out for the public to see.
Notice on the screencap that they allotted O 43%? With great poetic justice, he may indeed wind up with that exact 43%, with Romney garnering the other 57%, and that would be a beautiful and righteous thing!
Has election day been cancelled?
Ok - thank you for that post.
my spidey senses are tingling
I’m thinkin’ I’ll just go fishin’ on election day now.
Shucks, and I thought we had such a good chance, Dern it!
I really think we’re all gonna’ need the booze.
well that’s just it...they could post fake numbers, but poll workers out there would -or should- recognize right away if their figures have been manipulated.
Should I still buy the booze?
Yes, buy the booz, but no bubbly, buy souer mash instead
Now this should finally put to rest all the assertions of MEDIA BIAS.../sarc>
It appears we missed it!
And darn it! We lost!
Did anyone get the memo about the change of date?
I’ve never had sour mash
The War of The Worlds
Some listeners heard only a portion of the broadcast and, in the atmosphere of tension and anxiety prior to World War II, took it to be an actual news broadcast.[1] Newspapers reported, that panic ensued, with people across the Northeastern United States and Canada fleeing their homes. Some people called CBS, newspapers or the police in confusion over the realism of the news bulletins.[6][7]
Future Tonight Show host Jack Paar had announcing duties that night for Cleveland CBS affiliate WGAR. As panicked listeners called the studio, Paar attempted to calm them on the phone and on air by saying, “The world is not coming to an end. Trust me. When have I ever lied to you?” When the listeners started charging Paar with “covering up the truth”, he called WGAR’s station manager for help. Oblivious to the situation, the manager advised Paar to calm down, saying it was “all a tempest in a teapot.”[8]
In Concrete, Washington, phone lines and electricity went out due to a short-circuit at the Superior Portland Cement Company’s substation. Residents were unable to call neighbors, family or friends to calm their fears. Reporters who heard of the coincidental blackout sent the story over the news-wire, and soon Concrete was known worldwide.[9]
Within one month, newspapers had published 12,500 articles about the broadcast and its impact. Adolf Hitler cited the panic, as Richard J. Hand writes, as “evidence of the decadence and corrupt condition of democracy.”[10]

If they tested the stock-market ticker or tables in this way, would THAT be acceptable?! I don’t flippin’ think so!
“if that is called electioneering, so is Hannity”
I haven’t watched or listened to him in fifteen years so I can’t say what Mr. Hannity does.
true that!
I’ve never seen Hannity declare the results of an election prior to election night.
so are they just trying to give a feeling of inevitability out there? Trying to depress Romney voters?
Or is it worse than that?
and further down, Mourdock loses in Indiana for Senate, 40% to 45%.
“Ok - thank you for that post.
my spidey senses are tingling”
My prediction is they’ll wait until after the debate tomorrow night so everyone will be paying attention to what happened there. At that point they’ll put a very tiny blurb on their site about some kind of operator error and a promise that they will continue to look into it. With so many other things going on, they will count on everyone forgetting about it. Their community does not have to accept that though. These affiliates exist to serve the public interest, and the people have a right to know exactly what was going on here.
