Those Billboards were probably upsetting Eric Holder. WHEREVER THE HELL HE IS.
It sounds to me like Phyllis Cleveland was terrified that signs like this would put her reelection chances in jeopardy. She must be a DemocRAT.
That’s not a political ad. Its a public service announcement
Cleveland City Councilwoman Phyllis Cleveland, one of the most vocal critics of the billboards, told Reuters on Sunday: “Needless to say I’m happy they will be taken down but I want to know who was behind this in the first place.”
Ummmm, Phyllis? It was put up by a patriot that’s opposed to people committing felonies to try to steal elections. If you weren’t such a stupid racist (insert very unpleasant word beginning witha “c” here) you’d be backing them instead of criticising them. Every fraudulent vote robs a legitimate voter of their voice.
Perhaps they just need to be a little clearer with one that says: Voting once is a Right. Voting twice is a Felony.
At least they were up long enough to have some effect. (I would think)
“The billboards, which show a large judge’s gavel and read “Voter Fraud is a felony - up to 3 ½ years and a $10,000 fine,” went up primarily in low-income minority neighborhoods in early October, just weeks before the November 6 elections, and were immediately criticized by voter rights groups as an attempt to intimidate minority voters. “
Then do * SHOPLIFTERS WILL BE PROSECUTED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW * need to be removed too? Is that sign racist or aimed at minorities and the underprivileged?
“Needless to say I’m happy they will be taken down but I want to know who was behind this in the first place.”
Someone should tell Ms. Cleveland that the government is behind it. It is a federal law.
they should have kept them up and told the dems to piss off.
These billboards should be completely inoffensive. How could anybody object to a billboard that spells out the penalties for committing a crime?
Hopefully Clear Channel will take their own sweet time taking them down...
