What a weird life this pedophile lived, molested with immunity.
He was a host of Top of the Pops in England (a clone of American Bandstand) for years. He never married and lived with his mother until she died in her 80s. In all the “NME Poll Express Winners” concerts featuring iconic groups like the Beatles, he was the emcee. He was a bit strange, not surprised at this.
As host of Top of the Pops and his ability to get close to pop royalty, I am sure he used and abused a lot of the female teen dancers on the show.
But my question is this:
In the 70s, rock stars never asked for the age of women. Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin and Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis always prefered young teen girls. The GTOs of LA were all in their young teens. Why not just indict the 1970s and the sexual excess of the time as well as Mr. Savile? I know my statement will be unpopular, but come on...most rock stars were having sex with teen girls back then.
I lived in the UK for almost a decade and Savile was a big deal. Personally, I didn’t like him. I thought he was an ugly smartass with the silly ‘seaside humor’ (sex, sex, sex) mentality of a 14 year old. Always tried to play the ‘working class Yorkshireman’ crap. Just ‘one of the lads’. Fake, fake, fake.
They do love their ‘eccentrics’ in Britian.

It comes across different now in the light of what i have read.
From reading the article, it sounds like more than having sex with underage girls. It sounds like he forced himself on girls. That’s rape.
BBC tried to coverup this scandal. I’m sure Murdoch is gleeful over this scandal since the BBC tried to run him out of business.
Defund the BBC, unfortunately the Cameron govt won’t.

PS The soloists you see on the concert stage were able to get there in all too many cases by being ‘mentored’ by someone able to “help” them into the limelight.

Thanks for posting the link, Theroux did a great interview of Evel Knievel too, he manages to bring celebrities down to earth. Jimmy’s keeping the flames warm for all the pervs at the BBC, sick, sad, these powerful people indulge in their perversions and prey on the innocent looking for fame.

Well, if the allegations are true, he is no better than Gary Glitter.
He is much worse than Gary Glitter. With all the hundreds of allegations now being investigated, he is being called Britain’s most prolific ever sex offender.
The worst part is he barely did anything to hide the fact that he was a sexual predator, he even bragged about it in his autobiography, but nobody took the allegations seriously due to his fame and influence. The whole story is a depressing story of pure evil disguised as selfless virtue (he was also Britain’s most prolific charity fund raiser).
