Mr Trump has decided that Obama would make an entertaining contestant on The Apprentice.
Obama already has a pretty good idea from internal polling that he is going down in flames. Obama contacted Trump to see about getting on the show next season, not the other way around.
Trump has decided that Obama is too much of a punk to be on the show though. Trump claims that Obama was trying to arrange it before the show started to get Trump to guarantee that he would win.
Then on a quick turnabout, Trump decided that for next season’s show, he would have Michelle (who will by then be the former first lady) on the show, since it would be better for ratings due to the potential for Omarosa style snarky drama
Trump thinks this is big news, but it really isn’t. It’s just silly.

I don’t think Trump would be privy to that kind of info but what you say could be true considering who we’re dealing with.
