Romney really has to expect the unexpected. Nuanced questions and obvious answers that lead to set-up remarks and retorts to gaffes.

Romney doesn’t even have to win this debate, just explain things to the public that an honest, transparent leader would do. Be very careful.

For whomever is going to start a "live thread" for tonight's debate, please ask the moderator to feed the squirrels prior to starting the thread. We're on our fourth debate and it's been impossible to follow or post. Site begins locking up at the first mention of "gentlemen, start your engines!". The squirrels take that as a time to go on break until the debate is over. Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi!

The system is not handling the increased loads and we do not know why yet. John says the system is not getting overloaded, the db is not overloaded, the cpus are mostly idle, the load averages are low, the db load averages are low, just reaches a point where throughput stalls. I’m not a techie and I have no idea how to fix it. I thought maybe we could add another server or more RAM or replace some older servers or something, but I guess John doesn’t think that will do it. There’s something wrong in the system software or the configuration but he’s having trouble finding it.

And I’m really upset too, but there’s not a freaking thing I can do about it until John gets it figured out.

"Speed up" suggestions have included changing your posts per page to 20, limiting picture posting, etc. but JR doesn't think that's the problem.

More later if we don't crash - One thing - Please watch slow page loads to see if "Google-Analytics" shows as loading as part of the page ... just curious.
