With the baseball playoffs and Monday Night Football to compete with, even free pizza and soda couldnt entice more than a handful of students to the Tulane University Political Science Departments viewing party for the final presidential debate. And, as appears to be the case with the vast majority of Americans, most came with their minds pretty well made up.

If anyone hasn’t made up their mind by now, they may as well stay home and not vote at all. Only the ignorant would vote for 0bama
When even the Far Left USA Today cannot come right out and declare that Obama was the winner, you know there is no standing to rally behind this theme. They did, however, carry on about the “horses and bayonets” line as though Obama might be a comedy genius. You know that “the One” is in trouble when the drooling USA Today cannot even come up with something of substance.
Or maybe (could we hope) even USA Today knows the trend in terms of the upcoming election and cannot risk coming out too heavily in favor of Obama.
Obama's Last Chance!
Exactly! “soda”?! to college students?!
After watching the debate I could not help but wonder why Romney passed on a clear chance to come down on Obama about Libya. I also could not help but notice that Romney was extremely careful to avoid looking like he would declare war on Syria. Is it possible that his team knew in advance that Obama was prepared with a “comeback” in terms of the Libya issue that Obama wanted badly to spew in front of an audience of millions? Is it also possible that Romney had a heads-up with regards to the media and Obama hoping to paint him as a someone who would be constantly beating war-drums. It is possible that Romney averted a trap that Obama and media were wishing and hoping for and which would give the MSM an opportunity to paint him as a “cowboy” who would lead us into endless wars. While the media keeps quoting the line about bayonets and horses, I felt the best line of the debate was “We can’t kill our way out of this mess!”
Just speculating . . . . .
Romney doesn’t strike me as a guy that crosses the same bridge twice. He won libya in the second debate.
Romney played it safe. I do not blame him. He does not need to answer to obamma during a debate. He is clearly in the driver’s seat in this election. Let obamma play his childish word games. Romney has nothing else to prove he is capable.
Annoying to see Beck and Ingraham whine about Libya during the debate. It is very obvious that Team Obama had a surprise trap waiting for Mitt and he refused to spring it. You could see Obama chomping at the bit to say it, but never got the chance. Also Obama totally blew Axelrod’s plan to blast Romney for his “disastrous” trip to London, etc. Obama came close, and then just forgot to say it, and afterwards looked very pissed off. Obama also kept shooting a ‘death stare’ at Romney which was disturbing and unpresidential even to the Democrat watching with us.
As unobtrusively as he could, Obama was pounding the table and using distracting tactics as much as he dared last night. He interrupted and talked over Romney whenever it looked like the narrative was getting away from him, and mouthed platitudes he has no intention of honoring when the time comes for application, if the past four years are any indications of his driving agenda. It was a great display of passive-aggressive behavior grown as confrontational as the circumstances allowed.
The Current Occupant seems to think that merely putting “more” math and science teachers in the classrooms is a fitting response to the unemployment rate, but what good is all the math and science crammed into young skulls full of mush, if the counter-active myths of “equality” and social justice are also working to inhibit personal initiative and ambition? And even more than the exploration for mineral resources would not yield any actual extraction and utilization for several years, it would take easily at least 15-20 years for educational efforts NOW to produce any great minds that could USE those skills being taught at the elementary and secondary level.
Americans do not need vast retraining programs for replacement of employment that has “disappeared”, because no new employment is being created in any serious numbers. The jobs now being “created” are in fact only part-time, and far below the skill sets that many of the unemployed already possess. Potential sources of employment are being artificially suppressed because of bureaucratic intervention and government-created obstruction.
Nobody’s mind was changed, but the incentive to get out there and support your candidate was set much more firmly for Romney than for Obama.
There is a vast expanse of broken glass ahead. If you believe, start crawling, folks. Because it shall still be there if you do nothing.
Simultaneously Obama also added no content ~ all he did was RESPOND to Romney's statements ~ which meant even with no material input Mitt led the debate and Obama utterly failed to participate.
It's a sad day when the two major candidates for President can do something like that ~
I'm guessing the polling response rates are actually down to less than 3% ~ way below the 9.1% reported by PEW back in May. That means no one but party professionals and true believers ~ who do campaign stuff ~ are responding to the polls.
Should be close to a tie even today!
A clue for here is that with these very low response rates none of these polls mean anything anymore.
Regardless of who looked more confident last night we have to do what’s best for America and get out and vote. It’s sad that the liberals don’t have the common sense or ability to see through a CIC who is a very skilled liar that understands that if you smile, exhibit the right body language, and speak boldly with confidence that the suckers will buy it every time. Add to that, manipulation and deception are also in his arsenal and that he has learned how to use ideology to manipulate people’s emotionsand stir anger to mobilize them to do his bidding. He particularly has a strangle hold on the youth who have nit experienced enough pain in life yet to see him for who he really is and they are going to vote for him which is the reason we’ve got to get EVERYONE we can to vote.
Bump for Tulane University.
The devastating truth on Libya is coming out and Obama is doing his usual tap dance....aka....lies, lies and more lies...
I don't think Obama used the term even once.
I felt going in that Romney would win if he didn’t make any big mistakes. He didn’t Obama came across as snarky not presidential.
I only watched bits and pieces - I considered it to be the least significant debate as it should have been stacked solidly in Zero’s favor and he was unlikely to close any deals with it unless Mitt really screwed the pooch. Mitt won a few good points and Zero left a lot of hot ammo out there if Mitt’s folks want to capitalize over the next two weeks.
