I’m glad I made the conscious decision not to watch any of the Presidential debates.
It would be like watching the Steelers this season.
It’s hard for me because I wanted a feisty bloodletting but then I’m not the target audience, either. Ready for the 6th already.
I think that’s why some FReepers wanted Newt to get the nomination—because they expected him to give Obama a “feisty bloodletting” in the debates. But who knows how exactly he would have performed against Obama head-to-head.
But the debates are less important than the actual election, of course.

On September 11, at about 10 p.m. Libyan time (4 p.m. in Washington), Ambassador Chris Stevens and a small staff were inside our consulate in Benghazi when terrorists attacked. The consulate staff immediately contacted Washington and our embassy in Tripoli. The White House, the Pentagon, the State Department, and numerous military headquarters monitored the entire battle in real time via the phone calls from Benghazi and video from a drone overhead.
Our diplomats fought for seven hours without any aid from outside the country...

We saw an egotistical, emotionally imbalanced, angry, insecure man who does not respond well to pressure and who reacted poorly to being corrected and could not emotionally process the thought that he may be wrong about ANY position he has staked out.

If Rush will follow up with what Beck did a few minutes ago,in an interview with an Ex-CIA gal showing how the regime, State and cia all watched the video of the Benghazi assault in real time and no one made a decision to help Stevens. They all let him die. With ships in the Mediterranean and we had a ready team in Italy. Beck exposed everything. Just like we did here on Sunday. If Rush will follow up on that we win they lose.

Exactly there was help from inside Benghazi but it waaaay to little an waaay too late. As Lt.Col Anthony Shaffer said sat.nite on FNC there was no excuse for not calling in a strike from one of the ships in the Mediterranean that could have been there in a half hour accd.to Shaffer.
It's too bizarre to claim incompetence. This entire op had to be a hit on Shaffer who knew too much about too many things. From the bath houses in Chicago years ago with zero and rhambo to guns,rpgs, shoulder fired rockets stolen form gdaffi, Sauidi connections terror types in Libya and syria getting weapons from us, to you name it. He knew names places etc.He was a threat to the campaign they could not tolerate.
He was being presidential. I assume they have focus groups that say that’s the best way to get elected. Paul Ryan did the same thing in his debate.
