Calvin Woodward and contributors Bradley Klapper, Robert Burns, Tom Raum, Stephen Braun, Charles Hutzler, and Tom Krisher from the Associated Press (AP) presumed to “flunk” former governor Mitt Romney's debate performance on Monday, October 22nd, 2012, when they alleged “Romney flubbed Middle East geography.” They object to Romney saying Syria was Iran's only remaining access to the seea. They point out that Sria and iran do not have any common border, and Iran is already on the sea. Then they conclude Romney doesn't know his geography, Really? Unfortunately for the declining fortunes of the Fourth Estate represented by the MSM, it is Romney who knows his geography, and it is the erstwhile and self-appointed fact checkers of the Associated Press who flunked their geography lessons.

Romney was speaking in the context of the debate topic on foreign policy and the sanctions restricting the finances and trade of Iran. Although Iran is indeed located on the seacoast of the Indian Ocean and the Persian Gulf, the international trade sanctions have restricted and impeded its ability to transport armaments and other goods through its own seaports. To defeat these trade sanctions, Iran has resorted to using its air transportation to transport goods through an air corridor in Iraqi airspace into Syria and its seaports, such as Latakia. The AP article falsely portrays Romney as being ignorant of this geography, when it is the AP reporters who ignorantly or deliberately misreported the facts in their so-called fact checking news. AP and its reporters owe an apology to Romney and the readers.

yes, and it is the USAF that controls the skies around Iran and over Iraq... and which is obviously under orders to keep protecting Iran as it has for the last 4 years....and to also permit Iran to have free access through Iraq to Syria...(and Iran sends dangerous weapons through, too, not only domestic trade items)

VOTE VOTE VOTE!!!

YODA held his leftist side pretty much in check last night except when trying to trip MITT on his saying he would label China a manipulator as soon as he is elected and wouldn’t that create a trade war. MITT’S answer was outstanding, saying although China is our friend and we want to do business with them we can not just let them ROLL OVER us either. THE FOREIGNER came across as desperate and frustrated when he couldn’t show Mitt as being weak on foreign policy. This was the final nail in the political coffin for the regime.

Iran has also promised nuclear weapons to several of its other allies. As for politics, I haven’t had a political movement yet today. Maybe more coffee...or prunes.

Romney obviously meant the Mediterranean. I knew it immediately.

I have worked Chinese companies, and lived some in China, over the last few years. In private industry there, I like them a lot.

Government-wise - not so good. BUT that’s not something they have cornered the market in though. Ask anyone here who deals with OSHA, the EPA, the TSA, etc.

But there is this for sure.

If you are rude or disrespectful, you are doomed.

If you are stupid or ignorant, you will get no respect and no positive results.

If you let them roll over you, they WILL roll over you.

If you are smart and stand your ground (NOT with Chigago-punk attitude - just with confidence and persistance), then you can work with them.
