The same deal was supposedly offered to the Romney campaign, but they would not touch it, just like they would not even countenance allegations that Obama was a cocaine dealer in his college days.
That is why Trump was the “go-to” man when things like the “birther” controversy came up. Without a serious bid for the Presidency himself, he could act as the “spoiler” with very little sticking to others.
Like the Clinton “bimbo eruptions” that arose in the 1992 election cycle, and for several years after, the actual misdemeanors, malfeasances and outright felonies were known, but never adequately followed up. Partly this was a conspiracy of silence by the persons knowledgeable, and partly it was just plain bully power to keep those who could be, cowed into silence.
Mitt Romney, whether to his credit or to his eventual reckoning by history, is not the sort of gentleman who reads other gentlemen’s mail.
Of course, to designate some of the rivals he has faced in the public arena as “gentlemen” is to strain the meaning of that term.
Donald Trump, on the other hand, has far fewer qualms about doing “opposition research”.

That what I got out of this. The obamas may not have been married for a very long time. Not like some people here have been thinking that the divorce paper have been filed yesterday.
Agreed. Like someone here has said before, it wouldn’t matter if Trump had photos of a dead male hooker in Obama’s bed covered in blow - his base would still vote for him. I think he’s lost the independents for good.

Someone else speculated that the information in the papers — even something as simple as Obama’s name, date of birth, etc. — could contain some very damaging information.

I never said it mattered or that anyone cared. My thoughts are that divorce is an accepted thing and Trump should know this so thinking along those lines and knowing zero did this already to Ryan makes me think there’s something there other than normal divorce.
The fact that he’s possibly a homo is far down my list of reasons to dislike and thoroughly distrust zero. Although Lev 20:13 comes to mind. Nevertheless, there are a lot of people that think it does matter as would I if I didn’t already have a hundred bigger reasons to dislike him and his policies, his friends, the people he’s thrown under the bus on and on. I think the silent majority is going to speak on November 6th.
Although Hollywood would have you think different, there’s a lot of people that aren’t willing to ‘celebrate’ degeneracy.
Now if they were considering divorce because he’s gay and Michelle doesn’t want to play at being wife anymore, then we got something. Otherwise, not much.
