Well...the "announcement" is not what anyone thought or expected. It does not expose anything about Obama. Rather, it is a challenge from Trump to Obama asking him to release his college records and passport information in exchange for a $5 Million contribution to Obama's favorite charity. Watch.

I think Romney put the kibosh on what Trump really had which is the Obama “Separation” papers. Those could have created a backlash at Romney.
He would have better luck getting info if he just gave the money to whoever gives him the goods. Some journolistas probably could not resist handing over what they have been sitting on for years for that kind of money.

What a huge disappointment. However, obama hasn’t released them in 4 years - he isn’t about to do it now. Anyway, obama’s favorite charity is himself. He isn’t a charitable person.
Donald Trump is working hard to expose and defeat Obama.
Maybe his offer of five million will entice someone to cough up the Kenyan birth certificate or the Indonesian Passport.
At the very least, Trump’s brave actions today will destroy the Obama reelection bid.
I actually don’t think this is so bad. Perception is the name of the game. It renders stupid the attemp by Allred to try to release some obscure testimony that Romney gave in someone else’s divorce 20 years ago and focuses on the absurdity that no one goes after the basic records of Obama that all presidents usually release and that the fact that he is spending millions of dollars to keep them hidden. Obama looks rather stupid to not take the chance to give a large sum of money to a charity that could certainly use it or deceitful on what he is trying to hide. Just my opinion.

There’s going to be some who wonder why Obama isn’t jumping on the $5,000,000 for a charity. Trump just kicked Obama in the nuts in public and bozo can’t do anything about it.
Needless to say I wanted proof of zero being what we all know he is but I do agree that there are some people who might not know or others who will think twice about why Obama claims to be so transparent but is hiding his past.
If it hadn’t actually happened it would be impossible to believe that the mysterious and unaccomplished Barack Hussein Obama would be elected -especially before the WTC is even rebuilt.

I’m with both of you. I was worried about what he was going to reveal and didn’t want mud to be thrown. If you have nothing to hide and you are transparent why wouldn’t you take him up on this? It will get people wondering even if they still take up for him in public. Most normal people with nothing to hide would release them.
Only thing I can think is that, with Benghazi emails coming out, Trump is giving Obama one more thing to deal with.
Obama will never release his records.
Trump gives 10/31/12 deadline. Obama will not release records and will get contrary with Trump. Maybe some people will change their minds on Obama on election day only a few days off.
Obama will look poorly with his non-release and Trump will needle him with a thousand cuts.

1) Obama IS hiding his entire past.
2) Obama has spent millions hiding it all.
3) Obama CANNOT comply.
4) Obama refuses to help a charity with 5 million.
5) The MSM can run from this, but cannot hide
6) Where is the downside to this ?
I am hanging in with you, friend!!! Why? Trump forces Obama to respond, or....not respond at all. Obama looks foolish either way. Beyond the rejection of the Trump offer by Obama, Trump may have a hidden ace in the hole, and already have those college and passport records in hand. When the Obamabots laugh and ridicule Trump, come, October 31, 2012, Trump just releases all the records and destroys America hater Obama overnight.
It is not what was expected, but it’s not so bad either.
It is not sleazy and will not hurt Romney in that manner. It may, in fact, make bambi a bit uncomfortable.
Trump trumped it up to bring attention to his offer - what’s wrong with that? It worked.

I’m no fan of the Donald, but this doesn’t smell right. This feels more like a fall back plan once you’ve committed and your Plan A had to be pulled off the table.
