although InTrade still showing Obama as going to win, 56%.

not sure how that conflict resolves, but maybe there is an arbitrage bet there somehow.

Basically agree. Would not be so quick to color NV and IA blue. I do think PA and NM are in play.

This is not good enough. We need a landslide rejection of the marxist agenda. I’d like to see 350 electoral votes for Romney/Ryan, that would give them a mandate to eviserate every trace of Obama’s term.

We could win a 1984 type election and the MSM will claim it is a mandate, but if Obama wins with 271 it is.

The volume on Intrade is pitiful. With a thousand bucks, I could turn Hawaii into a Romney state if I wanted to.

No,you don't have to do that. All you have to do is to allot House seats to the state on the basis of *legal US residents* rather than warm bodies. That would take 15-20 seats from them.Do the same with NY and IL and another 20 seats disappear.

Given that these folks are putting “money” on the line makes that poll as or perhaps a more accurate sampling of sentiment than some of the crap the Dems have been pushing on us for months.

Yeah but both sides would still be bad. We need to split it three ways. LA and the Bay Area as separate states and the rest as California.

Im sorry to inform you all but this map is completely incorrect.

Wisconsin Ohio New Hampshire WILL BE RED. Pennsylvania & Nevada will be the Florida of 2000 or Ohio of 2004. Minnesota and Michigan are close but not as close as Pennsylvania. This is not wishful thinking. My aunt works for a marketing group that is working for Obama. They already know as long as Republicans show up.... Obama is finished even with voter fraud.

Heck, we should give Obama his 57 states by splitting up CA into three states, New York into two states, as well as pennsyvania, illinois and michigan.

Maybe split Nebraska in half too, just for the fun of it.

Great. Then we’d have FOUR demoncrat sinators.

How ‘bout we make a compromise like they did in 1820 and when Missouri became a state.

California becomes two states, and Texas gets to form several states as they like.

I think people follow InTrade because it deals with real money. Everyone figures people may say what they want to a pollster but when they are betting real money, that’s what they really think will happen.

FWIW, Romney’s gone on Intrade from 28% before Debate #1 to 44% today.

no need to be sorry.

if GOP wins OH and NH, it is over. So NV and PA cannot be the deciders. Deciders are OH and NH. (OH and any one other)

Fact that Obambi still has a shot in those 2 states, keeps Bambi hopes alive.

Could it be tht foreigners betting my not realize the significance of it being an election of many states, and that in a weird way, for lack of a better description, the results are being rounded up (I knw they aren’t- just that in the next few days, Obama will decline more etc)?

That is down from a couple of weeks back when Obama was almost a 2 to 1 favorite.

I hope you're right. I said that based on the performances of both Romney and Obama the other night, both men know that Romney is likely to win. He looked like the grown up in the room and Obama was a desperate buzzing bee trying to sting Romney but Romney just ignored him.

It is likely that Romney also knew the e-mail scandal was about to be released and he didn't have to worry about Libya.

The biggest surprise this week is the release of the e-mails and the fact that many of the MSM are talking about it. That is the curiosity.

Well, this is the way it was explained to me—and, hopefully, I am remembering the explanation correctly:

The Intrade map is using data gleaned from the number of bets coming from each individual state for Romney, or for Obama. As you can see, Romney is clearly ahead in the number of individual states which are betting on him.

However, Intrade’s bet percentages, which you are citing, are based upon the aggregate number of bets, in total, throughout the ENTIRETY of the United States.

Therefore, hypothetically, if 10 states have +10,000 bets each (net) coming in for Obama, and 40 other states have +2,000 bets (net) each coming in for Romney, the number of bets for Obama lead the number of bets for Romney by +20,000, even though Romney has the majority of states betting on him to win.

The Math:
10 x 10,000 = 100,000
40 x 2,000 = 80,000
100,000 - 80,000 = 20,000

Anyway, as best as I can recall, that’s the way it was described to me years ago by one of my readers who places bets on Intrade.

Cheers
