North Dallas early voting turnout huge ... 20 times more than 2004 ... in staunch conservative area
October 24, 2012 | Vanity

Posted on 10/24/2012 3:50:11 PM PDT by Zakeet

My wife and I just returned from early voting in the Northwest Dallas (Farmer's Branch / Coppell) area.

Lines were out the door ... more than one hour wait to vote.

The election judge said that about 1,200 people had cast ballots there each day during the first two days of early voting. Today's total was expected to exceed 1,500.

The judge also said that only about 500 people (total ... not per day) voted early there in 2008. About 300 in 2010.

The precinct is in the 24th Texas congressional district. It is strongly conservative with Kenny Marchant as its congress critter. The entire district was recently redrawn, but is estimated to have voted for George W. Bush over John Kerry by 68 percent to 30 percent in 2004 ... more than 2 to 1. Of course, that total includes a blend from areas far more liberal than our precinct.

True, we're not in a swing state, but it is safe to say that the conservative base here is fired up. It's also safe to say that if this trend extends elsewhere, the poor dumb Wee Wee is in deep doo-doo!

We are seeing the same thing down here in Montgomery County (near Houston). Hour long waits just to vote early. Crazy cool!

Uh. It’s Texas. They are a Red State from Day One. Let’s see what the stats are in PA and/or OH.

Chick-Fil-A was just a proxy for the voting booth on November 6th.

People are chomping at the bit to vote against the closeted-gay, closeted Moslem narcissist in the White Hut.

maybe just the sight of a lot of voters in strong GOP areas will inspires those in swing states. Go with the winner!

The 15 largest populated counties early voting totals:

http://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/earlyvoting/2012/oct23.shtml

The county where I voted on Monday had 6302 votes on Monday versus 5628 in 2008 on the first day. The location had 12 machines and a steady line of 20-25 people on the first day. They brought in 8 more machines for the 2nd day and continued to have a line. But with the line it only took some 20 minutes to process through.

Exactly! We are going to Chick-fil-A the commie away. The 2008 turnout model the idiots are using for the polls is going to be way off.

Can you say landslide?

Damn right it’s Texas and we are SHATTERING all time early voting records. If you have to wait in live for an hour to vote on a Tuesday afternoon 2 weeks before election day it means something. I’m guessing there is an underlying rage out there that pollsters are not measuring.

BTW every single person in the line yesterday was on our team. It was freaking obvious.

I live in VERY LEFTY Austin.

Dirty Little Secret among these Austinite Lefties, many of them small business owners: They are peeved at Obama and his war on the entrepreneur class.

Sure, they may be staunchly socially liberal, but money talks and Obama is taking their livelihood.

Many lefties will be staying home in 2012, Nationwide.

I’ve been hearing there were lines at our courthouse, too.

tatown, I find your report to be very encouraging and relevant. I think these pollsters have NO IDEA of the fury that is about to crush Obama, his liberal buddies, and their media acolytes.

There was an elderly gentleman standing behind the Mrs. and I and he said that he’s never seen anything like this. He showed up on Monday and decided the line was too long. He came back yesterday to find the same length line so he decided to wait it out. We weren’t living here in 2008 so we were sure if this was ‘normal’ or not. We were assured that this was NOT expected.

I saw the same thing in the 8th District in Texas. I usually early vote at a community center and have never ever had to wait in line. Today, several people ahead of me and the wait was about 15 minutes. There was a line already forming behind me. This is heavily conservative but I'm hoping it represents how much people want to get this bunch out of the White House.

I plan to increase the line in Concord, NC in the morning. I take nothing for granted. The Socialism of Obama is killing freedom. You are free to make money or lose your ass in America. I suggest the fed get out of the way before I start shooting.

With turnout like this, I’m going to go out on a limb and call Texas for...Romney.

There, I gave you 38 big EVs to start things off - now go win at least another 232 and we can all have a fun night watching Chrissy Matthews having a stroke on air.

Yup, and it is going to be historic. The Pollsters are going to get a major spanking.....well, except for unskewed polls. They are going to nail it !

I do believe that your statement hits the nail on the head, tatown. There is a boiling rage against Buckwheat who tries to hide his Marxism under a thin veneer of stuttering stupidity.

Voted today also in Kenny Marchant’s district in N. Tarrant County...Long lines and very vocal Anti-Obama voters all voicing their opinions while in line despite poll workers telling them not to “politic” within 150 feet... granted it’s North Texas... but if voters here are this motivated when it’s a foregone conclusion Obama won’t win here I suspect the sentiment to get to the polls will be much greater for Romney voters than Obama voters and this election will be over before 10 pm on election night !!

I voted early yesterday, mid-afternoon, in the Fort Worth suburbs. I expected a pop in and out at 2 PM, because it’s after lunch and before school let out. Instead, I stood in line 20 minutes. And these were people going out to cars and driving home, not a bus from the old folks’ home.

Interesting stats there county by county. Collin & Denton counties, both very red, are voting in the 8% or higher range. This augers well. I voted on Monday and had to wait in line about 10 minutes.

I’m developing bi-polarism over this election. One day I’m optimistic and the next day I’m depressed. This is the most important election in my lifetime and I’m almost 72. If we get stuck with Obama for another 4 years I don’t know what I will do. Cry a lot for starters.

Texas most likely will be over 40% in early voting this time. In 2008 we were just under 40%. Even though Texas is solid statewide for the GOP there still seems to be an anticipation to get out and vote. I just hope the swing states have enough interest to change reverse the road we are currently traveling.

Driving to and from the office, I pass my early voting polling place - a public library up near the Carrollton-Lewisville line. Since Monday morning when early voting began, the parking lot has been packed. Even the driving lanes are clogged with cars that are circling in search of a parking spot. People are parking by the nearby fast-food joints and walking.

It looks like that each time I drive past, morning and evening. Way more turnout than 2008 (which wasn't bad, but this response pegs the meter.)

Yes, but compare the walk in numbers (heavy Republican) with the mail in numbers (how the democrats do early voting fraud in South Dallas and similar areas.)
