U.S. Rep. Jim Moran, D-Va. whose campaign-field-director son has been caught in a voter-fraud sting is familiar with controversy.

In 2003, Moran, then a regional whip in the House of Representatives, was punished by House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi after he suggested Jews were responsible for the push for war against Iraq.
As WND reported today, his son, Patrick Moran, who serves as his campaign field director, has been caught on video advising an undercover reporter how to fraudulently cast ballots in the name of registered voters by forging utility bills and relying on the assistance of Democrat lawyers.
James OKeefes Project Veritas, known for its hidden-camera probe of the controversial national community organizing group tied to Obama, ACORN, carried out the investigation.
In January, Moran launched a racially charged attack on Rep. Allen West, R-Fla. in response to Wests strongly worded statement to progressives to take their collectivist message and get the hell out of the United States of America.
Moran, essentially, said West is not a real African-American.
People like Mr. West, and [Arizona Gov. Jan] Brewer and so on, particularly Mr. West, is not only not representative of the African-American community or of the Republican Party, let alone of the American public. So what he says really is of little or no consequence, but its unfortunate, Moran said.
In a 2006 interview, the congressman blasted President George W. Bush as someone who surrounds himself with yes men, labeling Vice President Dick Cheney the biggest a kisser of all.
