Al queda in Iraq?

U.S. intelligence believes that assailants connected to al Qaeda in Iraq were among the core group that attacked the diplomatic mission in Benghazi, a U.S. government official told CNN.
That would represent the second al Qaeda affiliate associated with the deadly September 11 attack that killed U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans.
Previously, intelligence officials said there were signs of connections to al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, the North African wing of the terror group.
The revelation that members of al Qaeda in Iraq are suspected of involvement in the Libya attack comes at a time when there is a growing number of fighters from that group also taking part in the Syrian civil war.

Yep. Between Obama surrendering Iraq for political gain, negotiating with the Taliban, and supporting the overthrow of at least 2 leaders who were strong allies in the war on terror (Ghadaffi and Mubarak).... anybody who thinks Obama has increased the number and strength of our allies against terrorism is absolutely nuts.

There are some who believe that the attack on
Benghazi was carried out by Iranian assets blaming it
on al Qaeda and stealing the US Arms cache in Benghazi
moving the Arms to Syria for Iranian assets to overthrow Assad .
Cripplecreek, I was just thinking a bit about our current state here America.
We have turned our back on our ally. We have allied with those who wish to destroy us. We have elected a muslim, a terrorist, an internal agent of our enemy, a murderer as our leader. He has killed his own ambassador, I suspect because he wanted him dead. Dead men tell no tales as they say.
Our media ignores treason. Our congress and senate ignores treason. People cheer a woman who is also just as treasonist as he as if she has some redeeming virtue.
I don’t think we are going to be able to save ourselves. Maybe I’m being too pessimistic here, but it seems to me that our country, what it once was, has fallen.
That is because Syria was behind it, They are all over the place.
Notice the wording? Diplomatic mission. NOt the same thing as a consulate.
E-mails obtained by CNN made clear that less than 30 minutes after the attack began, the State Department notified officials within the agency, the White House, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the Pentagon and the FBI that an attack was underway and that Stevens was in the compound.
Also notice the shortened timeline? 30 minutes. not an hour.
Word I'm getting is that we funneled thousands of weapons to islamics including AQ to fight the war in libya and were shifting those to syria. That's what Stevens was doing there.
But looking at the state of the mid east and our role in it, I'm rapidly becoming a believer.
