Restoring the Last Best Hope of Earth
The Aspen Times ^ | October 25, 2012 | Melanie Sturm

During the Civil War, when the union's preservation and slavery's abolition were in doubt, President Lincoln roused the nation with his dream “of a place and a time where America will once again be seen as the last best hope of earth.” In rekindling our founders' vision, Lincoln helped assure that America would become the freest and most prosperous nation on earth, a status that successive U.S. presidents have dutifully maintained, or they were cast aside by voters.

As Americans Think Again about President Obama, consider that no president has won re-election amid such economic stagnation, declining incomes, high gas prices and business pessimism. Living astonishingly beyond our means and more indebted than any other nation in history, Americans face a reduced standard of living, diminished opportunities for our children and a weakened capacity to secure our national interests in a menacing world.

NEVER BEFORE has a U.S. President INTENDED to destroy the nation he was elected to direct.

NEVER BEFORE in the history of our nation.

I can see November from here. AND Obozo Must GO!

The basic fact is that ONLY a strong, determined, moral and resolute United States of America is the ONLY thing that stands between the entire world and a new DARK AGES.
This day, that requirement is tragically lacking.
In a couple of weeks we will see the FUTURE of the world.

Lately I find myself recalling the words of a man who was very dear to me as a child. I consider him my godfather even though he was never named as such. He had no university degrees, I don’t know that he even went to high school but he accomplished more in his life than most do now in my honest opinion. Forty years ago he said to my father during the course of a conversation, “You know, prosperity will ruin any nation.” Somehow I think he was on to something. What we see around us now is the result of utter foolishness which could never have been indulged except in a time or rapidly rising productivity which allowed an ever shrinking percentage of productive people to support through government theft and redistribution an ever growing percentage of moochers who have no concept of responsibility. Unfortunately we have now run out of “other people’s money”. The devil will be paid one way or the other.
Or to mix Rudyard Kipling and Jeremiah Wright, The Gods of the Copybook Headings have come home to rooooooooost.

“rekindling our founders’ vision”

Wait, I’m sorry, rekindling the founder’s vision is accomplished by marching into sovereign states, occupying them with a standing army, suspending habeas corpus, and holding rigged elections?
