It irritates me that they can't grasp the fact that bankruptcy wouldn't have made the company go away but would have actually done far more to save the company than a bailout. GM and Chrysler are in far more danger today than they were then.

My first guess is that the people at the newspaper knew a LOT of what really happened and might have had family and friends who were badly hurt by the “bailout.” This might be their way of saying that Obama f....d up royally, but they can’t publicly admit it.

Pssssssssssssssssssssssssst! GM did file bankruptcy and then was given 45 Billion tax dollars by the “one” so they would never have to pay it back.
