Texas sparks international row with election observers [TEXAS ROCKS!]

Texas authorities have threatened to arrest international election observers, prompting a furious response from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).

“The threat of criminal sanctions against [international] observers is unacceptable,” Janez Lenarčič, the Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), said in a statement. “The United States, like all countries in the OSCE, has an obligation to invite ODIHR observers to observe its elections.”

Lawmakers from the group of 56 European and Central Asian nations have been observing U.S. elections since 2002, without incident. Their presence has become a flashpoint this year, however, as Republicans accuse Democrats of voter fraud while Democrats counter that GOP-inspired voter ID laws aim to disenfranchise minority voters.

Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott further fueled the controversy on Tuesday when he sent a letter to the OSCE warning the organization that its representatives “are not authorized by Texas law to enter a polling place” and that it “may be a criminal offense for OSCE’s representatives to maintain a presence within 100 feet of a polling place's entrance.”

"To my knowledge [Texas] is the only state that came forward and said 'please reassure us that you're going to follow our state electoral law.' And they have now been reassured."

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

That's what she thinks Texas is saying?

Shouldn't a command of the English language be a minimum requirement for our State Department employees?

Bring it on. This has pissed me off beyond my normal bounds of rationality.

Uninvited guests are trespassers. Things don’t end well for trespassers in Texas. Best advice I can give you...stay the hell out of Texas.

And by the way, you can shove your little letter with its snarky little comments. Whoever invited you does not speak for Texas, or most other states.

The USA may allow its sovereignty to be diminished by the United Nations,........but the Sovereign State of Texas WILL NOT allow it.

I am so with you guys! I’m also a Texan. However, the reason this even came up is because Obama joined the this group (Bush thought it was ridiculous and wouldn’t go near it). Another gift from our Dear Marxist leader... He gave away sovereignty to handle our own elections with this unilateral decision.
That being said, I hope they try it and Texas kicks their butts OUT!!!

It’s so insulting. I want the UN out of my county. Totally out - without a dime.

In the Eyes of a Ranger
The unsuspecting stranger
Had better know the truth of wrong from right

Cause the eyes of the Ranger are upon you
Anything you do he's gonna see
So when you're in Texas look behind you
Cause that's where the Ranger’s gonna be!

Foreign commie scum better stay the hell out of my state.

And for that matter, the same goes for domestic libs who’ve turned their own states to hippie hellhole economic basket-cases with their degenerate politics and views, and get a notion to move here. You’ll be treated like what you are... plague-infested rats bringing diseases.

It won’t work in Mn either. Unless you are a poll observer accredited by a major party you can’t just hang around the poll. The judges will ask you to leave and if you don’t they’ll call the cops. And if one of the UN geets tried it, and the judges didn’t order them to leave the Republican poll observer would call the cops.

Someone outside the Shavano Park polling station some handing out of information for the Democrats.

I finally learned how to tell a Democrat running for office from the Republican.

A Democrat doesn’t put their party affiliation on their signs.

This is the part I liked:

“If OSCE members want to learn more about our election processes so they can improve their own democratic systems, we welcome the opportunity to discuss the measures Texas has implemented to protect the integrity of elections. However, groups and individuals from outside the United States are not allowed to influence or interfere with the election process in Texas.”

On sites like Huffington Post their conversation is all about “don’t those rednecks know about diplomatic immunity????”

Fine. After a thorough beat-down for resisting arrest, Hillary can send a representative to retrieve them.

What you Euroweenies don't know about Texas is that we have a code of conduct that forces us to be polite to strangers, at least initially. Warning you that you will get arrested if you show up here and try to mess in with our sovereignty is the height of politeness - because we could just shoot you Commie bastards and let the buzzards eat you for lunch. But we're polite, so we won't do that...yet.

Oh, and what the Hell kind of a name is "Jan" for a guy, anyway?

I truly wished that our eunuch congresscritters would agree with you on that.

WTF are these people thinking in DC that they just give up this nation’s sovereignty to some useless organization that, without our tax dollars, would disappear overnight.

Fine. We will ignore your very poor English grammar and opt for a straight up lynching instead.
