We always talk about the independent, swing vote in elections because those tend to be the persuadables. But party ID numbers matter as well, because those partisan voters tend to split better than 90/10 for their party.
It is for that reason that Gallups new partisan ID split, one that mimics what Rasmussen has been saying all along, predicts nothing less than doom for the Democrats, and a solid, national win for Mitt Romney this year.
Ignore Gallups headline. Theyve buried the lede so far deep, theyll be fracking in Australia to bring it to the surface. Demographically the country hasnt changed in a few years, naturally, but the difference between 2008 and 2012 is in the TEA party. The TEA party happened, dictated the 2010 elections, and has now resulted in a large partisan ID and registration shift in this country since.

Weren’t the SOCIALIST DEMOCRATS going to destroy the TEA PARTY with the OCCUPY OUTHOUSE COFFEE PARTY. I’ll have to make a point and ask VAN and THE FOREIGNER how that’s going.
“......predicts nothing less than doom for the Democrats, and a solid, national win for Mitt Romney this year.”
Such beautiful words.
We can only HOPE and Pray...and vote
I believe that this will be a crushing defeat for Obama, and I hope that Romney has the stones to pursue criminal prosecutions of Obama, Clinton, Holder and the other cretins in this clown car of a presidency.
The difference? Occupy Wall Street was a fabrication, the Tea Party was real and true to life. Sure, some in the OWS movement were real and believed in their cause, but again, their cause was a fabrication and most reality based folks saw it as that... they’ve had two years to mimic the TP, but they had no lasting power, they are all washed up, all petered out... their effect was ZERO!
My guess is that Romney voters are less likely to agree to participate in polls. I wonder how the pollsters control for that.
