US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has attended the launch of a $300m (£187m) industrial park in the Haitian town of Caracol.
The project is part of US efforts to help Haiti recover from the devastation it suffered in the 2010 earthquake.
The US has invested $124m (£77m) in the project, which it hopes will create thousands of jobs.
At a grand opening ceremony Haiti's President Michel Martelly said the country was "open for business".

I think the article has a miss-translation- they said “invested $124 million” when they meant to say “pissed away $124 million”.
Haiti is a festering pesthole and every dime spent on that place is a guaranteed waste. The idea of anyone being dumb enough to invest in a $300M project in Haiti boggles the mind.
Clint = Clintons & job = jobs.
WEst Virginia tried that a few years ago. The difference was the state put up some signs and changed the logo. It didn’t cost anywhere near that amount.
