Obama yesterday in an interview said he gave three clear directives the minute he found out about Benghazi.
1. make sure that we are securing our personnel and doing whatever we need to.
2. we're going to investigate exactly what happened so that it doesn't happen again
3.find out who did this so we can bring them to justice
Why weren't they fired?
When did he find out about Benghazi?
Was he in the Whitehouse?
Did he go to the situation room?
Who watched the videos in Real-time and where did they watch them in real time? the state department, the Whitehouse situation room? CIA headquarters?
I couldn't post this because of the source, but wanted to make sure FR had Obama's interview from yesterday.
One of Greta's guest last night mentioned what Obama had said, but I didn't get his name.
I say the American people go around the MSM and demand answers from this POS President, who refused to answer Clark's questions yesterday!
His order was to lie lie lie..this looks like they let those men die to creat a situation that was supposed to bring the nation together and get the press of the economy which was giving obama a big headache on the campaigne trail. he needed it to look presidential. OOps it was botched. too much news got out.

IIRC, it was DAYS not WEEKS when W went before a joint Session of Congress off 9/11/2001 to name the perps and announce his plans.
I guess investigations take longer when you got Vegas and Letterman to attend to.

Update: BlackFive confirmed with a retired Delta operator: The fact that ground personnel were painting the target says there was a Spectre on station.
Having spent a good bit of time nursing a GLD (ground Laser Designator) in several garden spots around the world, something from the report jumped out at me.
One of the former SEALs was actively painting the target. That means that Specter WAS ON STATION! Probably an AC130U. A ground laser designator is not a briefing pointer laser. You do not “paint” a target until the weapons system/designator is synched; which means that the AC130 was on station.
Only two places could have called off the attack at that point; the WH situation command (based on POTUS direction) or AFRICOM commander based on information directly from the target area.
If the AC130 never left Sigonella (as Penetta [sic] says) that means that the Predator that was filming the whole thing was armed.
If that SEAL was actively “painting” a target; something was on station to engage! And the decision to stand down goes directly to POTUS!

Obama said he gave a directive to do everything possible to help our people. So who decided to tell the former seals and other people at the annex not to go and help. If that happened and Obama actually gave the directive above, why isn't he outraged that his order was defied?
According to Petraeus, the CIA didn't give the order to stand down. So who did? If the Secretary of Defense was responsible for the stand down order, why is the President protecting him? Petraeus did not deny that there was an order given. He just said the CIA did not give the order.
They are painting themselves in a corner.
When someone tells the truth from the beginning, they do not have to lie over and over and coverup anything.
The media is next on our list. They have to be taken down. And we CAN do this by organizing boycotts against advertisers on network news programs.

That is the critical question. When did he get his very first piece of information. Either the information was woefully late (doubrful) or he is woefully lieing.
I heard Hillary use that ‘fog of war’ phrase too, and if as state in this sequence of events video a “crowd” fired upon our Personnel, Libya has to be seen as the enemy too, unless they bring this “crowd” to justice too.
At 2:10 you see the escape vehicle(armored car) gets fired on from a ‘crowd’, 2 grenades were thrown under it, then hit with machine gun fire from 2 feet away;

I didn't pick up on it then, because we didn't know at the time of the debate that there was an order to stand down that night, nor that there had been an order given not to take out the painted mortar target.
It would have meant more at the time of the debate if we had the details like we do now. He can't have it both ways. If he gave the order to help in every way possible, someone defied him. Why isn't he outraged? Where was he when the decision was made? Asleep?
If he was the one who gave the order to stand down, then he lied to cover up what really happened and is directly responsible for the deaths of at least two of the four. They were killed much later at the annex.

As I understand it, the CIA cannot give orders to the military to do anything, their mission is the collection of foreign intelligence.
In some situations, the on site military can give orders to engage in foreign defensive operations, i.e. a ship at sea under attack, a military compound overseas under attack. The embassy in this situation is kind of different, it is US soil and had no on site military presence.
So to me, the NCA is the responsible agency here which should have ordered help. The NCA is His Excellency through the Sec of Def....sounds like Panetta is falling on the sword for his excellency who was probably too involved in honing his basketball game or running for office to worry about our embassy.

Yes, unfortunately, the media isn’t getting this timeline, they are too focused on emails and not the initial call for help, and this may go no farther then Free Republic as far as we know.

That is a VERY good point. He was just fresh off the I killed Ben Laudin trail, why did he balk at this one?

The photo of him in the situation room during the Ben Laden attack is revealing. He certainly didn't look like the driving force, just someone who stopped by after he finished his golf game that day.
