Lyrics:

Imagine an America
Where strip mines are fun and free
Where gays can be fixed
And sick people just die
And oil fills the sea

We don’t have to pay for freeways!
Our schools are good enough
Give us endless wars
On foreign shores
And lots of Chinese stuff

We’re the children of the future
American through and through
But something happened to our country
And we’re kinda blaming you

We haven’t killed all the polar bears
But it’s not for lack of trying
Big Bird is sacked
The Earth is cracked
And the atmosphere is frying

Congress went home early
They did their best we know
You can’t cut spending
With elections pending
Unless it’s welfare dough

We’re the children of the future
American through and through
But something happened to our country
And we’re kinda blaming you

Find a park that is still open
And take a breath of poison air
They foreclosed your place
To build a weapon in space
But you can write off your au pair

It’s a little awkward to tell you
But you left us holding the bag
When we look around
The place is all dumbed down
And the long term’s kind of a drag

We’re the children of the future
American through and through
But something happened to our country
And yeah, we’re blaming you

You did your best
You failed the test
Mom and Dad
We’re blaming you!

Yeah, you should blame Mom and Dad for electing the POS we have as President currently. It’s very telling that this is all the ‘rats have.

Thanks for posting the lyrics. Disgusting. Same as what came out of the old Soviet Union under Stalin. Entirely understandable given the source.

Hahahaha. I can’t stop laughing. Poor kids look so serious. You can just tell some socialist music teacher wrote the lyrics and thinks she gave birth.
Sheesh. Thanks. Good find.

One thing is right, we’re blaming you Mon and Dad. You, not the children allowed the radical left and Obama to come to a position of influence and power. This is the dung that those treasonous maggots peddle on the taxpayer’s dollar.

“It’s a little awkward to tell you

Based on the words used here, the lyrics were most likely penned by:

1) Child concerned about the future
2) A 60s radical still trying to overthrow America

(Pick one)

My goodness, two evil white male spawn right up in front with those poor black children crowded plumb off the screen. I just don’t know what to think. What to think? Has hell frozen over or is there some special dispensation for agitprop? It’s so complicated, trying to decode these things.

Michelle Obama clearly dressed that poor Asian girl front and center, by the way.

Little children of the future
did you know your human like us
do you realize
your breathing fills the skies
with the same toxins you’ve been taught to condemn

Little children of the future
do you know you are being brain washed
do you know your being used
by a corrupt government-media-educational complex
who only sees you as Obamabots

Little children of the future
if you accept progressivism as taught
you will all be the same
without a voice to proclaim
you are unique, individual and free

Little children of the future
if you really want to be free
listen to your mom and dad who love you
who want to see you prosper and live in liberty

Listen when they tell you
to resist the feel-goodism of liberalism
and pursue your hopes and dreams

Here's a left coast article about the video:

The award-winning ad team that brought you “Got Milk?” and some of America’s most iconic ads have created a touching, memorable — and, yes, slightly terrifying — new spot that stars America’s children. Just in time for Election Day, it’s selling a striking message — about the country’s future.

Jeff Goodby and Rich Silverstein, whose SF-based Goodby Silverstein & Partners ranks among the country’s most celebrated ad agencies, just released the new spot for their Future Childrens Project — and it’s sure to make some waves.

The black and white spot features local kids and an original song (lyrics by Goodby, art direction by Silverstein) that provides a sobering look “at what our children will say about us and how we left the world for them.” And it’s not always pretty.

The two ad men — who have produced some of the country’s most- watched ad work, for clients including Foster Farms, Cheetos, Comcast, Denny’s and Frito Lay — say they were “inspired by the “90 Days, 90 Reasons” project that asks artists to produce “a reason-a-day countdown ’till the election in support of Barack Obama,” according to the SF ad agency.

By the way, Goodby is a registered Republican — really! –who admits to some deep concerns about “the direction the party is going.”

And Silverstein was motivated by what he said are “huge implications for the future” of the current presidential contest.

These two have been a creative powerhouse on the advertising front for years, so very interesting to watch their offering on the political front.

What’s your reaction?

Of course comments are disabled.

I don’t think this is hilarious at all.

At the very end they use the youngest of the group (4 years old, maybe) to say : “mom and dad, we’re blaming you”

That child has not the slightest clue of what is behind her words.

She will recall as she is older— disrespecting her parents.

This is an attack on family and brainwashing children to government as family.

It is abuse. It is communist.

If you look closely at the lyrics many of their complaints happened during Bambi’s reign. Oil in the water, huge debt, etc. It is indeed ironic but these people are too stupid to appreciate irony. And yes you can blame all the parents who VOTED FOR OBAMA THE FIRST TIME. LOL. WHAT IDIOTS.

Well said. It’s one thing to sing the praises of Obama, like another group of kids did four years ago — which was bad enough — but it absolutely beyond the pale to force such chastisements of “mom and dad” into the mouth of babes. Completely shameful to use naive kids as the means of propaganda.

However, i do think it is funny in a sad sort of way. In the sense that somehow the producers of the video no doubt imagine they have created a winning advertisement for Obama, whereas in reality it is likely only to appeal to those who were already going to vote for him...and i’m not even sure about that. Just like the “first-time” ad, it is likely to have the opposite effect of what was intended.
