With Election Day still more than a week away, more than 600,000 Colorado voters have already cast their ballots, the Colorado Secretary of State's Office reported this morning.
Secretary of State Scott Gessler's staff said that based on reports from Colorado's county clerks, 626,097 voters had returned their completed mail ballots or had voted in person at their county's designated early-voting polling places as of Friday morning.
On a statewide basis, that included ballots cast by: 244,263 Republicans; 225,850 Democrats; 149,877 voters unaffiliated with any political party; 3,258 Libertarians; 1,159 Green Party members; 1,035 American Constitution Party Members; and 655 Americans Elect Party members.

(BTW, 1.9 permanent mail-in ballots were sent out on October 15th, representing over half the total registered voters in Colorado.)
I’ve read the unaffiliated are breaking 2 to 1 for Romney. This one is a loss for Obama ...
Of returned ballots:
D-36.07%
R-39.01%
I-23.93%
I’m on the ground here in CO. We are good here. Go worry about PA or Ohio :)
Messina (Bagdad Bob) is saying that zero is outperforming his 08’ numbers in the early vote.
Seriously this guy is demented!
And didn't I read somewhere that the real bellweather state in the country was CO?
NH, WI, and CO will put Romney at 271.
IA, WI, and CO will put Romney at 273.
New Hampshire is the one I feel least confident about, but an Iowa win makes NH irrelevant.
The recall election in Wisconsin showed that with motivated turnout, it will turn red.
Colorado clearly appears to flipping.
Three out of four winnable states will do it. Would love to grab Ohio, but at this point it is not looking good and it is not required to win.
God willing the damage Romney inflicted on the Black Turd in the first debate will be substantially enough to win, and win BIG! I missed the first debate because of an engagement that couldn’t be broken, BUT to my surprise my son text me while I was in the meeting telling me that, and I quote,”OMG, Romney is picking Obama apart!” My son who really isn’t into politics much was blown away by Romney. IF my son felt that way during the debate than the majority of Americans thought so too. THAT debate doomed Obumbler’s chances. I believe with all my heart God answered our prayers that night! My son and wife are voting for Romney...his wife was kinda leaning towards Obumbler...now it’s ROMNEY/RYAN all the way! Romney managed to change a HUGH amount of undecided minds!! PTL!!
A 10% edge for Republicans in early voter turnout so far. As with other swing states, the real question will be how much voter fraud Dems will be able to get away with.
Fraud in Ohio, for example, is already going on as Somalis are being driven to the polls by Dems. NO Republican interpreters are present so these people will vote countless times throughout the state!!!!
Fine by me. The tears of leftists are that much sweeter after they get a loss they didn’t see coming.
Leni
Obama will pull ahead when all his early voters vote AGAIN in their home state on election day AFTER having voted early in their own and several neighboring states!!!
Early voting, voting by mail, electronic voting without paper ballots, are all designed to make voter fraud easier. The Democrats propose all thes things and Republicans have been mostly afriad to be called bad names ,so let it happen.
There should be voting ONLY on Election Day with the exception of absentee ballots for certain limited groups ,as was the case in the past. The Democrats “fixed” a system that wasn’t broken, making it easier for the lazy and the criminal to vote.
IMHO, one doesn't vote early unless you are chomping at the bit for some reason. Do we really think there are that many people who just can't wait to pull the lever for 4 more years like we've just been through?
The state of Tennessee is expecting more than 700,000 to take advantage of early voting.
Just about every liberal drug sodden slacker I know votes only because they can vote absentee or early. My fully indoctrinated unionista cousin says they’re working toward voting in the workplace.
Conservatives who support it are sowing the seeds of our destruction.
We still need to get that SOB Puddwhacker (Perlmutter) out of office, too.
Yes we are. Then on to Hickenloopy.
I despise that punk. His out-of-the-blue telephone “town halls” are the mark of the coward he is.
GO JOE!
I’m kinda hoping James O’Keefe sends one of his, “Agents,” to Colorado to do some work on Perlmutter. I’d bet there LOADS of dirt on that librat bum.
there = there’s
Yep.
“We still need to get that SOB Puddwhacker (Perlmutter) out of office, too.”
Yup. But I hear (not my district) from well-informed people that race is looking awfully good.
What I’d really like to see is Danny Stroud perform a miracle and take-down DeGette, my second least favorite Coloradan. That is not out of the realm of possible, with the South Jeffco precincts that were added in redistricting.
And, if Kevin Lundberg can take out Polis, it would be a near perfect year. That one is close.
I’ve read several threads on FR the past couple of days that have talked about how one party or the other is leading in absentee and/or early voting.
I always vote on election day, so I can’t figure out what is being done with the early/absentee votes. Aren’t votes supposed to be counted AFTER the polls close on election day? ....Are they already counting votes? If they are, and publicizing the results, that will influence election day voting.
“Arent votes supposed to be counted AFTER the polls close on election day? ....Are they already counting votes? If they are, and publicizing the results, that will influence election day voting.”
Indeed, early vote counting doesn’t start until after a state’s polls has closed. However, one can make a few trend inferences about numbers of early ballots, relative party ratios of early ballots returned, comparisons of same with 2008 numbers, etc.
With the redistricting I think we've got a real chance this time
LOL,
My Kevin Lundberg sign disappeared again last night, glad I picked up spares.
I went to my local library here in Palm Beach County to vote today at 1300E. It was FL’s first day of early voting. The lines were out of the buillding and there was no place to park. I’ll go back later.
Is it a good sign though?
I can’t say. I never even got in line to see if I could pick up any vibes.
Indeed, early vote counting doesnt start until after a states polls has closed.

Thanks for the reply confirming that they are not counting early or absentee votes now.
In other words, all of this hype about one or the other candidate “leading” in the voting at this time is just BS based on guesswork and phony estimates.
