Obama's Approval Rating Has Collapsed In The Past 3 Days

President Barack Obama's approval rating has fallen to dangerous lows for historical precedent on re-election in just the past three days, according to Gallup's rolling three-day average

Gallup's daily tracking poll today — which also showed Obama losing 51-46 to Republican nominee Mitt Romney among likely voters — puts the president's approval rating at just 46 percent.

That's a staggering 7-point swing from Wednesday, when Obama's approval rating sat at 53 percent. And it marks Obama's lowest point since late September.

Obama's disapproval rating, meanwhile, jumped to 49 percent. That accounts for another 7-point change since Wednesday, meaning the total swing has been 14 points. The disapproval rating is the president's highest since mid-August.

A lot of this could be statistical noise, considering such wild swings without any major-moving events in the past few days are extremely rare.

But though Gallup's numbers are lower than other polls, there seems to be a trend developing: Every recent poll has put it below 50 percent.

Here's why the 50 percent threshold is important, per Gallup managing editor Jeffrey M. Jones:

I first voted in 1964 and voted for Goldwater, God bless his soul and keep him. I’ll turn 70 in December. Every time the DemonRat won from ‘64 on, including ‘64, I felt bad vibes that told me the Evil Thing was going to win. I absolutely don’t feel those bad vibes this year, instead, it feels like 1980 when Ronald Reagan, our greatest president since George Washington, won. Be of good cheer.

Benghazi????

American voters don't care about jobs, national security or the deficit. Americans just want free birth control and free abortions. ‘Right to choose’ means ‘right to access’ means you paying for single wimmins free abortions and birth control. That is why wimmin will re-elect BOB.
I learned this from Rachel Maddow and CO and she is always right.

Yes, but see-that’s not a ‘major-moving event’-at least, not to the commies in DC and their libtard sycophants...

I hope there is a special place in hell for such despicable cockroaches!

“Some predicted this when biden threw the intelligence community under the bus during the Ryan debate”

Very good point. They are very attuned to that moron’s tendencies, especially when he used to do it as a matter of routine when he chaired Foreign Relations in the Senate.

FOUR MEN LEFT BEHIND!

You've got it. Too many people in this country either served in the military or had loved ones serve - and the idea that a United States President would stand by and watch four men die - for nothing - is sickening. I can't even think of a lie Team Obama could come up with to fool democrats on this issue.

Rachel Maddow doesn’t understand many women have sons, fathers, brothers and sisters in the Military. And those women do not want the President of the United States to watch ‘snuff films’ of their loved ones’ slow deaths.

It’s rather obvious that obama wants people to get those votes in before they learn something that might change their minds.

If this guy wins he’s going to be a dictator like we’ve never seen. I wouldn’t be surprised if he disolves congress. Or tries.

She asked Mr. Woods what Biden said to him. You could tell it made him uneasy but I think he was going to say that he couldn’t say it on TV. Apparently Jeanine saw it and asked him another question.

And he let them be murdered by people two Seals almost took out. A Special Ops group from any of the four services would have won the battle in about 2 minutes.

Obama watched the rape and murder of a US Ambassador live as well as 3 other men and did nothing. He lied about it, and the lies are coming out and there is no new news that might be affecting Obama’s approval rating. Really?? IBD must not know about Al Gore’s invention that let’s people get news without watching the networks or reading any of the big name newspapers.

If the Dow Jones Average goes to 12K in the next two weeks, Obama is toast. His favorables have risen and fallen with the market in the last year or so.

Obama does not have the same conception of the office of the presidency that we have or that his predecessor, George Bush, had. George Bush considered the office to be a sacred trust which he had committed himself to honor for his terms in office. Obama regards the office of the presidency as one more tool to use in his class struggle, a struggle against an unfair system which has no honor in it. The office of the presidency is expedient to Obama not as an unspeakable privilege but as a windfall, much as a weapon picked up on the battlefield to be turned against the enemy.

In my view George Bush had a patrician's distain for campaigning, regarding it as a distasteful necessity in order to gain political power with which to serve the nation but campaigning itself was smarmy and something to be undertaken only as necessary. As a result of this rather Olympian detachment from the give-and-take of the democratic process, Bush made a conscious decision, especially after his reelection in 2004, not to contest many of the issues of the day so long as he got his way in Iraq. Karl Rove in an interview stated that the biggest mistake of the Bush presidency was not to fight back on the issue of, "Bush lied and people died."

By the time of the election of 2006 the narrative of Bush incompetence was well planted with the public by a very hostile media and all Obama had to do in 2008 was to blame George Bush for everything except original sin. This narrative prevailed well into the Obama administration.

It seems to me that a president and a presidential candidate has to strike a balance. On the one hand he solicits the support of the party faithful and he says, give me your vote, your time, your shoe leather, and your money and I will sustain your values, I will be your Paladin. On the other hand, as John Kennedy said, "first you gotta get elected." So the candidate must commit himself to serve a role which comes automatically with the office of the presidency, he becomes the titular head of the party. As such, he owes the party a duty of care and nurturing which George Bush neglected. On the other hand, he owes his conscience and the people a duty of truthfulness and righteousness.

George Bush had these higher qualities in abundance even as he lacked a zest for political battle. Brack Obama does not think that truthfulness, righteousness, or honor are qualities that adhere to the office of the presidency because he believes that the office and the system is fundamentally corrupt. He believes that what he does to undermine the system is fundamentally righteous. His ends justify his means.

We are watching the unwinding of the Obama myth and his exposure as a moral poltroon. Still, most of the media covers for him but he is nevertheless naked before the world for those who choose to see. The media rehabilitated Bill Clinton, maybe they can rehabilitate Brack Obama but I think his loss at the polls in November is now inevitable.

As and when Mitt Romney becomes our new president, his first duty is sacred, it is to his constitutional conscience and his second duty is to the political realities which sustain the party which in turn sustains him. He cannot neglect either one without the nation suffering. If there is an apparent conflict between the two it means that he has somehow gone off the right path.

Now the Conservative Community just need to 1. Have a Plan A in order to prevent voter fraud from being used to get Obama reelected 2. A Plan B, C, D, E, F through Z to allow us to prepare to handle the worst case disaster scenario that Obama gets elected through voter fraud and other means. What are the Plans A through Z that we have ?

As for the first part of this comment—you are absolutely right; it was an outrageous incident and my prayers are with the families.

*switching to sarcastic mode* And yet, I don’t believe it was for nothing. Didn’t he have some important party to attend in Vegas? Priorities, people!! /s

It makes me ill.

Excellent, cognizant, analysis on the difference between the left and right. I’ve actually often discussed just what you said with my mother, from another angle.

People are a product of their basic philosophies, IMHO. So many people don’t seem to understand that. It comes out in both large and small ways. To understand a person’s worldview is to understand why they do what they do, and makes them at least semi-predictable. That’s why none of us here were surprised by anything Obama did while everyone else was. That’s why we all yelled at the TV when Bill O’Reilly would spout some nonsense about Obama believing in traditional values. If you spent any time following O, you knew it was all a smokescreen - O does not think like a Christian American, and that is all there is to it. If you missed those red flags, then you never understood what he was lacking.

My mom and I always discussed how Bush, at heart, was a devout Christian, and unfortunately it set him at a disadvantage when set among the wolves of the media. To this day I don’t think Bush understood the hatred the media has for conservatives. I think he thought if his intentions were good, and he did good, and worked hard and honestly, eventually (as according to Christian philosophy) the “unbelievers” (as in those who did not share his politics, including the media) would be won over - and at least understand that he was a good intentioned man, and he was doing right and important things.

That was one of the ways I knew Bush was a truly goodhearted man. He had that attitude you see in such folks. They are always surprised by the termites. They are always a little astounded by those so committed to agendas that they have no trouble “taking out” good people simply because they are in the way, and in devious, evilhearted ways.

Bush just slogged along, doing his best, carrying out his mission of defending this country like the warrior president he was. But he never understood the snarky fifth column mentality that cut him off at the ankles. I think Laura is a little sharper at that. It must have hurt her terribly to see her good natured husband so savaged.
