I first voted in 1964 and voted for Goldwater, God bless his soul and keep him. I’ll turn 70 in December. Every time the DemonRat won from ‘64 on, including ‘64, I felt bad vibes that told me the Evil Thing was going to win. I absolutely don’t feel those bad vibes this year, instead, it feels like 1980 when Ronald Reagan, our greatest president since George Washington, won. Be of good cheer.

I miss RR! I turned 18 a month before he was first elected and he was the first president I ever voted for. :) Now I just turned 50. Time flies!
I feel good about this too. I think people want a grownup in the White House again; a man who will put on a suit and tie, refrain from putting his feet up on the Oval Office desk, skip partying and actually work (and possibly attend security briefings), not bow to the Saudi King, not humiliate dignitaries by making them leave through the back door near the trash, not return gifts such as Churchill’s bust, not embarrass the entire country by giving the Queen of England an iPod with his speeches on it and Prime Minister Brown some DVDs that don’t work in his country, making his first trip to the Muslim world instead of Canada or some other Western ally; the list goes on...
This is off of the top of my head; I hope my facts are correct—but I am SO glad I sent in my absentee ballot to Colorado last week. Express mail, baby! :)
