Obama skips Fla. stop, heads home to deal with Hurricane Sandy [Florida Media in Depression]
CBS ^ | October 29, 2012

The balancing act between campaigning and dealing with a natural disaster the week before a presidential election is a vexing one, considering there's no precedent for it. In the latest example of juggling both, President Obama made a last-minute decision this morning to fly back to the White House and forgo the one campaign stop he kept on his schedule for today. After initially announcing that he would skip his Ohio stop later today but still attend a campaign event in Orlando, Fla., a key spot in an important battleground state, the president flew to Orlando Sunday night to be...

BS. Obama going back to DC for this storm _IS_ campaigning. He gets to look Presidential, which is something he has not done in the last month. Everyone knows this, and it is his last, best shot at winning this thing.

He’s making a show (excuse) of being in charge during a disaster.

Except that, by doing so, it'll be easily apparent that, he's using the hurricane and trying to turn it into a campaign advantage.

There is nothing that Obama does, that is not about him, including trying to appear presidential during a disaster.

If the Benghazi terrorist attacks had been able to be thwarted, he would have turned that event into a commercial, touting how his "leadership" in a time of crisis had worked well. But, since Benghazi was a total disaster, he would rather people forget it and stop talking about it altogether. He talks a good game when something turns out right, like the mission to kill Bin-Laden, but, if that had failed, you would be seeing him blaming others for the failure and moving on.

This "president" is nothing but a coward!

It is my opinion that he is just floundering around trying to decide what to do, between the Benghazi mess and now a natural disaster that he is clueless about dealing with, I suspect he went back to hide under the bed and wait for a speech to appear on TOTUS. A leader he is NOT.

Tell the Community Organizer to come up here to New Jersey! We could sure use his "leadership!" Not.

He knew the storm was coming when he changed his other trips and decided to go to Florida. Maybe he and Bill Clinton had words. And Billy told him to stay away.

The White House press plane was left behind in Orlando as the pilot decided it was too dangerous to return to D.C.

I wonder if Obama will be able to land at Andrews.

nobama is the most feckless “leader” in memory. Maybe he and the Worst Lady (mooch-elle) are spending their down-time in the White House figuring-out just what to steal from the taxpayers when they are kicked out soon.

Where's Moochelle?

Haven't heard much about her lately.

It appears to me that Mrs. Romney is at her husband's side at during most of his campaign stops across the fruited plain....even though she has some health issues and is older than the first lady.

One or more of the Romney boys are usually with Mitt, also, as he travels.

The Romneys are a nice, mutually-supportive family that remains together as they campaign together.

Florida ping. Apparently Bill Clinton is doing the Orlando event solo.

Will there be a lavatory/sink involved?

Florida is gone for Obama. It will be political slaughter for both Obama and his Democrat dirt bags!!! Plus....they could not muster a decent crowd for the traitor Obama in central Florida....now that we all know he deserted and hung out our public servants to dry and die in Libya. He should be impeached, right now. Any American voter that votes for obama is not an american, but is a traitor to our country!! ABO!!!

Liberals......take notice!!! The large turnout of early voters in Florida is only signs of things to come. We are turning out by the millions to take down Obama and his America hating Democrat Party!!! The political beating & defeat the Democrats and Obama will get will make the 2010 Mid-Term elections look like a Sunday school picnic!!!

Obama is in defensive mode at this point, attempting to hold the Rust Belt states and eke out victories in Ohio, Wisconsin, Iowa, New Hampshire, etc. Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia are lost at this point. The errant sisters have re-joined the Confederacy, despite the Yankee influx that tipped the balance to Obama four years ago.
