There are many good arguments against Obama, even if the Republicans cannot seem to muster any. The civil liberties/antiwar case was made eloquently a few weeks ago by libertarian Conor Friedersdorf, who wrote a well-cited blog post on why he could not, in good conscience, vote for Obama. While his arguments have tremendous merit, there is an equally powerful case against Obama on the grounds of economic and social equity. That case needs to be made. For those who dont know me, here is a brief, relevant background: I have a long history in Democratic and liberal politics. I have worked for several Democratic candidates and affiliated groups, I have personally raised millions of dollars for Democrats online, I was an early advisor to Actblue (which has processed over $300 million to Democratic candidates). I have worked in Congress (mostly on the Dodd-Frank financial reform package), and I was a producer at MSNBC. Furthermore, I aggressively opposed Nader-style challenges until 2008.

One of those eeevil progressives! Does he tell it like it is? I never give Salon a hit.
Both Romney and Obama are admitted Progressives.
The majority of those who worship Obama lack the reading
comprehension required to read and understand this. Most of them vote based on two things.....his color, blacks will vote for blacks just because, that’s all the reason they need and the rest vote because they have Chris Matthews syndrome. They get a tingly vajayjay when they
see and hear Obama. What he says is irrelevant. Just
as a 6 month old does not understand what momma’s words mean but still smiles when it hears her voice.
The majority of Obamanuts are beyond reason, incapabable of rational thought and mired forever in their mental wilderness.
I agree that there are plenty of legitimate arguments against Obama. Unfortunately the media establishment is so invested in protecting Obama that you won’t hear criticism of him in the mainstream even from other liberals like the guy who wrote this article I posted.
I have had someone tell me that they couldn’t be bothered to read the whole thing! Some of the other left-leaning people I’ve shared it with though have acknowledged that they agree with the writer and one even said that he would now be voting third party instead of endorsing Obama’s policies with his vote.
