John McCain is on fire over the Benghazi abandonment and coverup, and vows to put the responsible parties under oath before his committee when the GOP retakes the Senate. I have many differences with Senator McCain, but I have never heard him express the level of anger and passion that he holds on this issue. Good for him!

A transcript of Hugh Hewitt's interview is provided at the source...

Your cross border example - clarifying that Obama had no trouble crossing the border of Pakistan but stopped at the Libyan border - is excellent.

Thank you.

What I read a few days back was that an 8-member team was sent from Tripoli. One of the former Navy Seals who was killed, was a member of that team.

It did not detail the makeup of the rest of that team. I got the Idea that it was a CIA security group, but that was not explicitly stated.

Given McCain’s personal history as a “left behind” during his six years as a POW in North Vietnam, I believe this is a gut issue for him that is beyond politics. Abandoning men on the battlefield is beyond the pale, and that’s why John McCain is in such an absolute rage tonight. As am I.

” - - - It wasn’t that long ago John McCain told us we had nothing to fear from an Obama presidency. I didn’t believe him then either.”

Yup.

Talk is cheap.
All RINOs do is talk.
Ergo, all RINOs are cheap.

He is not now chairman of the committee so he can’t make it do jack squat. Don’t you know the RATs are not about to have any hearing before the election.

The House could be it is kinda critical time before the election so I am not sure if it is in session or if the logistics will work.

Republican Senators should at the least call a press conference and MAKE the media cover the issue.

Then why, as Senator, did John McCain abandon all the POW/MIA in Viet Nam? As did John Kerry -- but it was to be expected from him.

These politicians work all the time. Are you kidding me? Getting elected is a work in itself with long hours, it must be a grind to be surrounded by people almost all the time too. Kinda like commission work since the outcome is uncertain.

Among those things which keep people out of politics are the requirements of: having lots of energy; doggedness and determination; a certain shamelessness; and the ability to get along with people.

Plus, you have to learn how to be a successful politician which means hours put in working for other successful politicians, often for free, at routine and menial jobs.

As in the case of the Mafia, you can’t accuse politicians of not working hard, not always for our good.

John McCain is my Senator, I interned for him, and I will tell you right now that the man is so full of shit that if you’d squeeze him, the resulting mess would require a two week rescue mission to find your body.

I don’t think that we can ever expect more from the Maverick than just him holding hands with those across the political aisle.

"John McCain Spitting Fire; Vows to put the responsible parties under oath before his committee when the GOP retakes the Senate."

Is this the same John McCain that is afraid of Hobbits?

Well had Obama ordered intervention then the whole world would know the Benghazi mission was a weapons depot? Sure would not want his stash going up in flames?

Which is what McCain did, I guess.

Right. But he was appearing on Meet the Press or one of those other propaganda panels.

I’m talking about the ranking members of the Military, Intelligence and Foreign Affairs of the Senate(or ALL the GOP members) calling a meeting at the National Press Club. Then the Heads and members of the equivalent House Committees. Even Government Operations Committees would have concerns.

McCain had a chance to spit fire four years ago.

McCain had a chance many years ago to find out about our MIAs left in Vietnam. He didn't. He blocked the efforts and destroyed evidence. The man is evil.
