Obama to cut medical benefits for active, retired military, not union workers
Wash Examiner ^ | Joe Newby

In an effort to cut defense spending, the Obama Administration plans to cut health benefits for active duty and retired military personnel and their families while not touching the benefits enjoyed by unionized civilian defense workers. The move, congressional aides suggested, is to force those individuals into Obamacare, Bill Gertz reported at the Washington Beacon.

And when you get to 65, you go onto Medicare and Tricare for Life, which acts as a 2nd payer, but we loose most access to military medical facilities. at least we can get meds through Tricare.

I don't know how to respond to this. A big knife in the back to all of us who served with honor. Obama has no honor and this is a prime example of it.
He has to go in the next election no matter what. Get off your butts and get out the vote and make this back stabbing A hole go away.

I served during the Viet Nam war and even though I was blessed to remain stateside during my ENLISTMENT I still suffered back, knee, and heart injuries (cardiac arrhythmia).

The VA is still denying anything for the knee and back and while they did give me a service connected disability for the heart problems which have deteriorated into Congestive Heart failure over 26 years ago they still are giving me nothing in compensation.

I have been totally disabled since December 2000 and even though I initially applied for Social Security disability and VA compensation back in 1992 it has taken till 2000 before Social Security finally decided that I was totally disabled and gave me Social Security disability. The VA is still denying me any compensation.

Since I do have a VA service connected disability they are still not giving me anything other than free medical care. Late last year, they began charging me co-payments for the prescriptions I require and this year that have started charging me $15.00 co-payment just to see the Primary Care Provider and $50.00 co-payment to see a specialist of any kind.

I'm wondering what they are going to do next.

I think he lost the 10% of the military vote that was leaning his direction with the Benghazi fiasco.

Why is this news? Where’ve y'all been?

He's been trying to cut off our military benefits from day one - any of you remember this? Even Jon Stewart couldn't swallow it.

He also tried to freeze military pay for 3 years!

Re “He talks as if he’s a fan of the military”. Yes, the only question is “whose military” as it sure isn’t ours.

A few months ago, Romney was asked during a campaign event about Obama's War on Veteran's by the father of a young man who was injured and maimed during combat operations in Afghanistan. The father was weeping uncontrollably during the question and Gov Romney's response. I can tell you that Romney will remember this question above all others that he had during this campaign.

VIDEO: Father of Wounded Veteran to Mitt Romney 'Look Me In the Eye'

Romney can sometimes be wishy-washy as you all know. Well, he wasn't wishy-washy this time. He adamantly told the father of the veteran that this would stop. I can pretty much attest to the fact that when Romney gets in office, this crap will stop. Watch the video above.

We have Obama literally spending Billions giving away ObamaPhones and Trillions of dollars in Food Stamps and Welfare the last four years; while the men and women who have suffered and bled for this country have been under assault by this Administration again, and again, and again, and again, and again.

I tell you what else will be interesting if Romney wins: the fate of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen Dempsey.

Joint Chiefs chair scolds vets over anti-Obama video

DOD: Gen. Martin Dempsey chose to phone Florida pastor

Gen. Dempsey Prohibits Teaching Truth About Islam & Disciplines Superb Army Officer Because of Muslim Complaints

The CJCS cannot violate one cardinal sin: "Do NOT politicize the office of the Chairman."

Romney is a nice man, but not a fool. I guarantee you he has enforcers on his team who are quite aware of what has gone on. I expect some generals to quietly put their papers in and make a hasty retirement announcement if Romney wins the Presidency.

That might not be good enough. We will have to see. It depends on how outraged other, career DoD employees who have seen what has been going on the last 4 years are, and it depends on what is uncovered when the stench of Obama is finally washed away from the halls of the Pentagon.

And Mullen before him for the repeal of DADT and kow towing to Obozo on everything.
I saw Mullen not too long ago at a Navy function...hubs used to work for him...could not look him in the eye for fear of what I would say to him.

I saw Mullen walking the halls of the Pentagon just before he retired. He had his hands in his pockets and he was alone.

I don't think he realizes the evil he helped unleash with homosexuality in the military and what that will do to the institution and American society at large. I also don't think he cares.

General Peter pace was Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, and was forced out early (under GW Bush) because of enormous, enormous pressure from Senate and House Democrats.

General Pace: Homosexuality is Immoral

Pace was fired, and hung out to dry. Pace is a Christian man, and those who worked for him absolutely loved the man. His character was beyond stellar.

The Generals and Admirals understood loud and clear what happened when Pace was fired.

That's why they folded like a cheap tent on the issue of homosexuality.

Yep, Gen Pace is a Rombo man now, I believe. Unlike the Navy Admiral Nathman who has sold his soul to Obozo...he’s running radio ads here in Hampton Roads pumping up the military here for BO.
If I recall correctly, wasn’t Pace in a controversy over some female complaint when he was SouthCom? Some PC BS thrown at him?
Glad to see he’s on our side this election...
Mullen, hopefully, will always have to deal with the stigma but there are enough a** kissers who will fawn all over him to make him feel wanted...
