Obama on Flexibility with Putin: Its Hard to Negotiate Additional Treaties When I'm Off Campaigning

President Barack Obama said the reason he told Russia’s Dimitry Medvedev back in March--more than seven months before this year's presidential election--that he would have “more flexibility” after the election to work with Russian leader Vladimir Putin was because he was too busy campaigning and doing other "stuff."

“The discussion there very much just had to do with the fact that it’s hard to negotiate additional treaties when I’m off campaigning and doing all kinds of stuff,” Obama said on Friday, explaining his open-mic comments with then-Russian President Dmitry Medvedev earlier this year.

The president’s latest comments came during an interview with News 4 KRNV in Reno, Nevada in which the questions were sent in from audience members.

Yeah. Right. There are about 46% of Americans, sad to say, who’ll believe any such bullshit you throw out. Of course, they’re idiots.

That’s the thing about the state of my country that truly disturbs me the most, when all is said and done.

Nearly half of a once-great country will buy such bullshit from a Muslim Socialist.

Obama did not say he was too busy or didn’t have enough time. He said that he would have “more flexibility” after the election. That is entirely inconsistent with his cover story. It is consistent, however, with an attempt to delay an action which would be unpopular with the American people until after they voted.

If you’re too damn busy marketing your lies, to actually attend to your responsibilities, then you’ve already disqualified yourself.

Imagine spending January through November telling everyone in your office, what wonderful plans you have for December....and the expecting to be rewarded in January....

How Presidential!!/s

Vocabulary as this is not presidential.

"STUFF"?. How juvenile. and He has never stopped campaigning since 2008.

As much as I dislike Slick Willie, he would at least term it as "I am doing the business of the American People", that is a term I was disgusted with, but it sounds better than, "doing other STUFF".

Just an FYI to all on this thread... Don’t know if others are aware, but I ran across this last night when I was looking through the Russian papers for what they were reporting on Benghazi...

ANY claims of Obama’s that Russia has, or will agree to reduce their nuclear arsenal further is all COMPLETE BS..

Russia to spend over 100 billion on nuclear weapons

“Stuff”? That’s what the late George Carlin used to rail against, having too much “stuff” (aka, “Shit”).

That sounds like marxist Obama since he’s full of shit and has been most of his life. But don’t worry, if Obama is reelected again, he will be putty in Putin’s bloody hands, and Putin knows it. Obama is too stupid and full of hate for America to know it. That is the perfect storm for legal treason.

Hurricane Sandra, move over, the most devastating “perfect storm” might hit America on Nov. 6th if the American people don’t wake up, and fast.

Just say “NO” to TREASON.

Well, they mistrust Obama and they fear Romney.
Wasn’t it Romney who has recently declared Russia “an enemy number one”.
I don’t think it was ever happend during a Cold War if any high ranked US official openly declared a major nation and a member of UN security counsil “an enemy number one”. It was mostly to third world dictators to throw words like that.
You can’t blame Russians for rearming after such a threat.

[50mm and DW - I think I smell something even more disturbing than a troll... A Neo-Soviet sympathizer! Check out the posting history on this one!]

Your posting history is quite interesting sly amphibian...
Not quite cunning enough however. I don’t like playing games with those who are not honest about who they are and what their purpose for being here is. You have made some quite interesting comments - especially in regard to Benghazi and such. Comments that are just BARELY above trashing the US military.

What “threat” have you heard in Romney’s statement? As if Russia has not helped Iran to build their nuclear capabilities? As if Russia is not aligned with China in their attempt to destroy the US economically? How about Russia’s assistance to North Korea? As if these FACTS do NOT make Russia an “enemy” of the US by virtue of their actions against those who have promised us harm? Romney is just calling it like it is.

You state that this is the first time DURING A COLD WAR - I think you forgot that the Cold War is supposedly over! Actually, it’s quite amusing because you’re confirming what MANY of us understand and believe - the “Cold War” was never REALLY over... Russia just changed tactics because it couldn’t possibly continue down the same path of communist idiocy.

Not all of us Americans are stupid enough to fall for the propaganda that Russia has “changed” magically since the supposed fall of “Communism” (only to be replaced by corrupt oligarchy). Not all of us are stupid enough to fall for the whole “reset button” joke.

Please, report back to Putin that although we here in the US may respect him as a formidable adversary we are NOT all as stupid as our current President. And, after this election if Romney does win, you all had better be ready to answer for your double-dealings with those who wish MANY in this world harm, besides the US.

As for your comment that they are “RE-arming”? HA! As if they EVER intended to destroy anything that wasn’t scheduled for destruction already due to age...

What trashing a US military? Are you kidding? But I repeat it is much smarter to remove US personnel from a crisis zone before it is too late instead of sending a company of marines into a hostile urban environment after it is too late. Black Hawk Down anyone?

Russia has really helped Iran build nuclear capabilities and it is absolutely wrong on it’s part.

But it is actually some American elites who are in bed with China to enrich chicoms and destroy US economically.

As for North Korea I have no idea if they still have ties with Russia.

As for anything else you wrote. Ok. It may be true or not, but I think there are a lot of people in Russia who has similar arguments to tell about US hostility.

Does it worth to be “an enemy number one” to each other?

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Why it has to be a Russian led operation? It was an “operation” caused by people supporting “Arab spring”. I don’t think American ambassador could have been killed in a consulate under “bloody tirant Q-duffy”. Violent American hating unrests are features of “freedom fighters” supported by Obama and Hitlery.

Russian posture in ME is not always good in ME but this time they are good guys. And it is not for a first time.

US and allies knows how to handle present players in ME, no matter how bad they are, and there are solutions to keep them under control.

Waging a proxy war against them using Al-Qaeda, assisting Muslim Brotherhood in building a super state in ME is just too stupid to be reality but it is a policy of present US administration. Stevens death is just a beginning of how these people are to thank America for support.

Russia has made no secret she supports Assad of Syria. Now IF Benghazi was Obama's weapons depot for his conscripts headed to Syria to remove Assad, it is no leap that it would be in Russia's interests to get the weapons first. Russia has a very long history of sticking her nose into countries that become fronts of actions against US. Take Korea or Vietnam, or even old Saddam's Iraq.

Russian posture in ME is not always good in ME but this time they are good guys. And it is not for a first time.

I doubt for one minute Russia has forgotten or gotten over all that illegal oil they were dealing with old Saddam, that President Bush required them to relinquish. I remember reading reports of fleeing Russians when the bombs started falling on Saddam. Arming Iran with nuclear is hardly on the right side of good. Old Saddam had in his mind he wanted the same deal with the Russians that Iran got. It is really impossible to read claims about dealing with terrorist out of Moscow when it is the government policy to sell nuclear capabilities to terrorist nations.

US and allies knows how to handle present players in ME, no matter how bad they are, and there are solutions to keep them under control.

Is this sarcasm. This bunch we have handling things have unleashed the hounds from hell. Not even Russia herself in all attempts over the last century has done the kind of destruction to this nation as this latest bunch of liberal marxists.

Waging a proxy war against them using Al-Qaeda, assisting Muslim Brotherhood in building a super state in ME is just too stupid to be reality but it is a policy of present US administration. Stevens death is just a beginning of how these people are to thank America for support.

I do not see a dimes worth of difference in the method of operation out of Obama or Putin. My opinion is they both are going to end up being losers when the history books get written. I must add this would also include Obama's crew, from his teleprompter programmers to his czars and cabinet officials.

If needed, Iran may be either subverted using it’s own disidents or militarily destroyed without significant loss in men and materiel.

You won’t say the same about a future Al-Qaeda’s caliphate of Africa and ME. With Syria and Egypt included it will be a nuclear superpower ruled by Osama bin Laden types.

last time I’ve check it was Al-Qaeda behind 9/11, not Iran.

That is my point.

Both are bad, but it makes a bad chass player to support an absolutely worse party which has a recent history of brutally attqacking you.

Actually I am not convinced that Al-Qaeda acted alone on 9/11. Our liberals sure acted as if they had intel that something was known and should have been prevented. They saw fit to accuse President Bush of all manner of vile things. I have always wondered what did they know and when did they know it. Most especially the Clintons.

The way I see things is that liberalism is a mindset not limited to any particular race, creed or religion.

I can’t see how Al-Qaeda version makes Bush guilty.
And maybe there was another party behind 9/11 but I see absolutely no evidence to prove it.
OBL took responsibility, hijackers belongs to places there Wahabism is widespread and Al-Qaeda has much influence.
It is extremely unlikely if Saddam, Q-duffy or Iranian mullahs did it.

It's kind of hard to ignore Zarqawis' associates operating in Baghdad before the war- they brutally murdered a nun there. While technically "not" official al Qaeda, Zarqawis' group's camp was next to bin Laden's in Afghanistan and the two groups shared personnel on occasion. It's kind of hard to ignore the main perp of the 1993 WTC bombing sitting in Baghdad receiving a pension from the regime. It's kind of hard to ignore al Qaeda meeting with Iraqi intel and Iranians IRG in Sudan as guests of Hassan Tourabi, who also had visits with the Palestinian islamic jihad folks here in Florida. It's kind of hard to ignore al Qaeda's operatives being harbored by Iran. It's kind of hard to ignore he Iraqi operative in Malaysia helping the USS Cole plotters, and hard to ignore that the USS Cole was bombed precisely because of its role in sanctions on Iraq. It's kind of hard to ignore the thankfully failed attack on the hotel that was hosting US personnel on their way to Iraq. It's kind of hard to ignore the money laundering routes shared by both al Qaeda and Iraq and the same players, and the same "charities."

It's kind of hard to ignore that Iraqi intel service's documents referencing meetings between Iraqi intel services and al Qaeda and its subsidiaries. It's kind of hard to ignore the involvement of the Philippine group Abu Sayyaf and Iraq's embassy officials in the murder of our soldiers, and kind of hard to ignore aid to Ansar al Islam, later known as al Qaeda in Iraq, and so on. Hard to ignore abu Nidal being in Iraq, even if he did "commit suicide" by shooting himself everal times. Hard to ignore the capture of US embassy bombing perps, USS Cole bombing perps, and so on being captured in Iraq by our fgorces.

Hard to ignore Iraq's provision of training to al Qaeda personnel in arious skills. Hard to ignore that iraqi intel actually operated inside the US, assassinating naturalized American citizens, and intimidating former Iraqi citizens with personalized threats featuring videos of relatives back home, while al Qaeda was fighting us too.

No one said Iraq had direct control over 9/11 but there is no doubt Iraq and al Qaeda had mutual agreements and had provided assistance to one another at different times.

What's funny is people thinking that a terrorist group can operate for decades without any state backing.

Yeah, cut Barry some slack. It's hard to squeeze in that treaty and work stuff when it's Golf season and Tee Times are already scheduled. But from this Nov to early next March he's got some free time. But April through October - forgetaboutit, booked solid.

However, right now it looks like starting next January Barry can get some Winter Desert Golfing in. He'll have nothing but free time.
