Romney victory would vindicate right wing smears of Obama
Los Angeles Times ^ | October 30, 2012 | David Horsey

Posted on 10/30/2012 6:52:04 AM PDT by Zakeet

It is impossible to know if Mitt Romney would turn out to be a good, bad or a mediocre president, but one certain downside of a Romney victory is that it would reward the most venal forces in American politics.

It only starts with the kind of campaign Romney has run. He and his "super PAC" allies used a mountain of dollars to produce unending waves of attack ads that swamped the messages of his Republican primary rivals, Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum. In the general election, Romney cranked it up a notch. President Obama’s own money machine paid for a slew of hard-hitting attacks against Romney that employed exaggeration and selective facts, but none of the Obama ads reached the same low level of deception as those put up by Romney as he zeroed in on the president.

Of course, disgustingly misleading attack ads have become ubiquitous at all levels of politics this year. Whether Romney wins or loses, that is unlikely to change. Still, seeing a campaign for president propelled to victory on so many outright falsehoods cannot be good for the republic.

That would be the lesser of the ill effects of a Romney win, though. Much worse is that the right wing’s broader onslaught of derision and lies against the president that began even before he took office would have achieved its goal. Barack Obama may, or may not, deserve re-election. But no man with as much decency as Obama exhibits in both his private and public life deserves the contempt that has been dumped on him by arch-conservative ideologues, talk show ranters and Internet goons.

Telling the truth about a leftist or leftist ideology is inherently “hate speech”.

“SMEARS?” No, that’s what we saw on the walls in Benghazi.... American blood smeared and then about the same time O comes out with “his own flag” that resembles the blood smears on the walls .

Why would any major paper give a delusional loonie like this guy a platform?

Obama has run one of the dirtiest campaigns of the past 150 years. It just happens that his opponent is squeeky clean and he's not.

That sentence would be true if George W. Bush, NOT BHO was inserted.

But no man with as much decency as Obama exhibits in both his private and public life deserves the contempt that has been dumped on him by arch-conservative ideologues, talk show ranters and Internet goons.

This writer has mastered the "Big Lie" technique well enough, to have earned a job at the old Stalin Pravda, or under Herr Goebbels as an assistant Propaganda Minister. The bold, but completely untrue, assertion replaces any actual background analysis of the Marxist demagogue.

If the man has so much "decency," why won't he simply release evidence--if any exists--to show that the questions raised by many as to his Academic "achievements," travel in his college years, and other unanswered questions, are in fact not valid?

For that matter, has everyone considered the heartbroken testimony of the father of a Navy Seal, who died saving American lives in Bengazi, last month. He describes a very different man than the propagandist in LA.

Consider the Rev. Wright involvement, with Obama ending up, out of his own mouth, to the Left of Rev. Wrigjht: Ethnic Politics--2008. Consider the arrogant idiocy from anything but a Marxist or anti-American standpoint, in Obama as a "Community Organizer".

The man hung out with the most vicious of the Leftwing trash in his youthful development; was at best only an An Accidental American; and has systematically employed Hitler's demagoguish methodology in his campaigns--including the focus on demonizing 1% of the population to rally those, who need to blame someone else for their troubles, to his banner.

Leftists despise fixed rules because such rules disallow the “flexibility” that the “elites” need to transform society through their ad hoc decisions.

That being said, the whole resistance to looking into 0bama’s past is that they viscerally know that he would be disqualified under our “archaic fixed-rule system”, and they’d lose their great champion and advancer of their collectivist agenda.

My mother went unconscious last week from a heart problem leading to dehydration.

In the ambulance, when she revived she couldn't remember what year it was.

They her asked who the President was, she stated, ' that wicked, disgusting Obama'.

David Horsey and his type don't care about no damn stinkin facts - they 'feel'.... and they've got superior attitude and they drink the 'in' coffee. They roll their eyes at folks who care about 'facts' and 'proof' and all that flyover crap...

Romney victory would vindicate right wing smears of Obama

vin·di·cate
1. to clear, as from an accusation, imputation, suspicion, or the like: to vindicate someone's honor.
2. to afford justification for; justify: Subsequent events vindicated his policy.
3. to uphold or justify by argument or evidence: to vindicate a claim.

OK!

I see this article as capitulation.

When the campaign’s support mechanism begins to make excuses for what they perceive to be a loss, they think it’s over.

What you say about Leftist motivations is correct. But do not fail to recognize that the subject article is a deliberate work of propaganda, employing techniques that worked for a long time for both the Bolsheviks & Nazis. People who employ those techniques are more dangerous than simply ranting neurotics or the "useful idiots" who parrot the propaganda.

And, what they’re really worried about is THIS word, in relation to their ideology and worldview.

Repudiate
REPU’DIATE, v.t. [L. repudio.]
1. To cast away; to reject; to discard.
Atheists - repudiate all title to the kingdom of heaven.
2. Appropriately, to put away; to divorce; as a wife.

You are not dealing here with one of Lenin's useful idiots, who "feels," that the world is unjust. The man shows an aptitude, here. It is the aptitude of a Lenin, Trotsky or Hitler--a skilled propagandist. No the writer is not up to their level of demagoguery. But he shows "promise" in the promotion of Collectivist tyranny.

Yes, those who see this as almost a concession, have a definite point. But it is also an effort to create a useful Myth for future agitation; for future mob incitation; for an eventual moment such as Lenin & Trotsky achieved against decency & civilization in 1917, or their soul brother Hitler achieved in 1933.

Successful Leftwing revolutions always depend upon the Blame & Envy Cocktail. Notice how Obama, for instance, uses references to the 1%, as not paying their "Fair Share," and being favored by Romney, etc.. Because of the Leftist media, no one mentions the obvious parallel, Hitler's demonizing focus on the German Jews--who, not really by coincidence, were just under 1% of the German population.

Karl Marx in the 1840s, specifically recommended this tactic as a way to rally the mobs against a single enemy.

Yes, most Leftists are "airheads." None of them are really grounded in reality--that is so far as their social & economic theories. But they have had phenomenal success, since 1789, in playing upon the basest of human emotions. Thus hate becomes altruism & love, when explained by their propagandists.
