Shortly ahead of Mitt Romneys remarks during a relief event for victims of Superstorm Sandy, BuzzFeed reporter McKay Coppins reportedly could be overheard via livestream video saying there was a 40 percent chance that he says something stupid.
Huffington Post reporter Jon Ward flagged the comment on Twitter.
Reporters overheard on politico live stream speculating before Romney event that there is a 40% chance that he says something stupid, wrote Ward.
The video that streamed on Politicos site was not filmed by Politico. The Daily Caller has learned that the feed was provided by the network responsible for todays pool video, which is shared by members of the Romney campaigns press pool.
Soon after Romney finished speaking, Coppins took credit as the overheard journalist.
Looks like my snide comment, caught on livestream, was wrong: Romney got the tone just right at this event in Dayton, Coppins tweeted.
Neither Coppins nor his editor, Ben Smith, immediately responded to a request for comment for this report.

“Stupid” to these lefties is of course anything they disagree with.
Obama Campaign Hoped To Politicize Hurricane Sandy
I do consider the MSM as part of the Obama campaign.
What do you think?
There’s a 100% chance that lib reporters are really the stupid ones.......
Forget my idea
I can see why he’s a reporter............
So, before Biden speaks, does he predict that there is a 100% chance that he will say something stupid? Because then he’d be right.
I say there is an 75% chance this reporter is fired by the end of tomorrow.
McKay Coppins, the Mormon on Mitt’s trail
He probably thought he was covering Biden.
I think you should prepare yourself to receive multiple replies with images of Captain Obvious.
Romney should say Something Stupid.
And use it in a sentence to describe Obama.
Like: “Obama’s healthcare plan is ‘something stupid’ that was pushed through despite the protest of a majority of the American People”
Just to tweak them.
That picture did two things: Caused coffee to hit my monitor and pegged my Gaydar in the process.
His lipstick is a pretty shade of raspberry.
No, that’s a full LOL at the hipster dweeb look he’s affecting.
never heard of him or Buzz feed
Romney a 40% chance he will say something stupid, as opposed to obama having a .04% chance of saying something intelligent.
In the eyes of any liberal Obama supporter any conservative point of view, or view expressed by a conservative is
Here’s my controversial comment. God early voted in NY yesterday.

“Stupid to these lefties is of course anything they disagree with.”
Actually, in this context, I think “stupid” would mean anything they could take out of context and twist into an anti-Republican headline. Substance is less importance than political usefulness.
I wondered while reading the article if “McKay Coppins” was his real name, or something he manufactured.
Thanks to the picture, I can see that he looks exactly like what a little pizzle named “McKay Coppins” ought to look.
