”A Big Storm Requires Big Government,” sought to explain to the masses that if it weren’t for President Obama saving the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), that Republican ideology would leave those in Hurricane Sandy’s path paying for emergency water.

In my red county, mostly white, "flyover country" neck of the woods we waited over a year for FEMA money to repair a county bridge undermined by Tropical Storm Lee (9/2011).

Still waiting for the repairs.

If that is "Federal assistance" we'd be better without it.

FEMA is a MAJOR scam. All they do is collect data. They mess up the paperwork and send agents who change the facts. Homeowner then has to prove the agent is wrong. Then another group shows up “project Hope” which claims to help people with their FEMA paperwork. Then more organizations become involved. It becomes chaotic.

It’s all about paperwork and creating false jobs.
