President Obamas hope-and-change coalition powered his party to wins up and down the ticket in 2008, but the campaign this year has taken on a far more self-serving focus, as both Mr. Obamas campaign and his fellow Democrats see benefits in keeping their space from each other.
From Virginia to Ohio to Arizona, the presidents 2008 magic has worn off. He never mentioned his Capitol Hill allies in his address at the Democratic National Convention and hasnt been as focused on campaigning for them this time.
He doesnt have the coattails he had in 08, said Quentin Kidd, a political scientist at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Va. President Obama doesnt seem to like politics to me. Nixon didnt like it either. When youre that kind of personality, it isnt fun.

In Indiana, the democrats are running away from 0bama like he’s a radioactive pedophile with bad breath. Donnelly even ran a commercial with an excerpt of Romney in one of the debates, and it deliberately portrayed Romney in a favorable light. I live in a very, very Republican County, and the sad little storefront that serves as democrat HQ is covered with signs for the state democrats; Governor, Senator and Congressman.
But not one 0bama sign to be seen. Not a single one.
How did it look in 2008?
He’s their tar baby. ObamaCare will stick to them if they get too close.
Agree, it’s really interesting that there are NO Democrats running in Indiana. There are Republicans, and a bunch of other guys who don’t say who they are.
The Democrat “brand” is right there with dog sh!t this season.
“How did it look in 2008?”
0bama signs everywhere. None now. He gave up on Indiana long ago. Oddly enough, it was our very Republican county that gave 0bama his margin of victory in a way. The difference between Mitch Daniels’ vote totals and McCains in our county was roughly the same margin by which 0bama won the state.
How do you know when O’s losing?
When no one in his own party wants to appear with him in the last days of the election.
Even if one were to want his support , as in a local campaign appearance, would he do it? He is so self centered, he probably wouldn’t
This is the best indicator of all in terms of how to gauge Obama’s popularity. Most Dem candidates don’t want to be seen on stage with him. They try to disassociate themselves from him. It makes one wonder how he could be reelected.
He isn’t going to be.
If they thought he was going to win, they would want him in their state or appear at his rallies.
The fact they haven’t says it even more clearly than all the polls do.
People may lie about their voting intentions, but its impossible to deceive someone about your “tell”. 90% of human communication is non-verbal. Your body language has already revealed the real you before you’ve even said a word! Its all subconscious and most people are not aware of it all.
In PA a Dem named Critz is running ads about how is not with his party on coal, fracking and jobs. He also brags about his NRA endorsement.
Whoa! DU says its a landslide .... for Obama!!
Thats it. Its all over. Its a landslide folks.

I just got back from Hemet, CA and was around Upland and Onterio; there were about as many R-R signs and bumper stickers as there were Obama.
Here in east and southeast Texas you VERY RARELY see an Obama anything. Romney yard signs are as common as weeds...
