A few observations:

For her:

1. Kudos on staying in shape, most 60 year old women don’t look as well.
2. Kudos on becoming a millionaire on the public’s dole.

For the public:

1. What were you thinking? Why are you elevating a subset of us to millionaire status who did not earn it?
2. Don’t be surprised when this class of millionaires expand beyond those who put their lives in jeopardy (and perhaps deserve it) to most government workers.

C’mon, you need to “contribute” your cross-country skiier to the homeless!

This excessive nervous condition is also happening with Republicans. I have two good friends and the husband worries constantly and he is a prepper. He is a former bank president so he sees the economic melt down coming.

He is so up tight about the election, he won't watch the news, would not watch the debates, will not talk about the election. He had a heart cath and stint put in two weeks ago. That can't totally fix his heart. I fear he will drop dead if Hussein wins and I'm serious.

His wife wrote me several weeks ago and said she isn't watching news, either, and to let her know if something happens she should know. I wrote her about the storm in the northeast so she would know that happened.

They are not alone in their misery I'm sure. Millions are suffering until this election is over and if Hussein wins, I feel sure hospitals are going to get many older patients whose bodies collapse. I never thought this would happen to anyone in any election in my life and my life is a long one.

Isn’t it amazing that the largest concentration of the “1 percenters” live in the bluest enclaves within the U.S.??

Why do you continue to vote to make the federal government and the leaders at its helm an ever-more present and powerful part of every part of our lives when you know there’s a chance every four years a guy you won’t like will be at the helm?

That's exactly the right question to ask.

Many have said here that the liberals worship a false God - namely, the government. In fact, the government is run by a group of their fellow humans. So, they elevate fallible humans to the role of God - and their 'god' does a lot of smiting, just not of them.

It's pretty obvious why they're so anxious. "A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take everything you have" - Barry Goldwater.

Could be serious. If they cannot exercise, San Francisco may slide into the ocean.

perhaps you should work toward making the levers less powerful

No kidding! I try to make that point to idiot liberals. They brag about "speaking truth to power". Then what do they do? Try to make that power even more powerful. But it goes right over their heads.

The article focuses on some very neurotic San Franciscoans. But what needs to be recognized is that the Left, save only for some of the demagogues, who exploit the "useful idiots," are all compulsion driven--neurotic fantasy seekers. See Compassion Or Compulsion. You will almost never find one, who is able to ground his argument on anything demonstrably true.

This sleepless "hand-wringing," being described, is only one of a vast array of symptoms.

For laughs, ask one of the dear souls to explain why Obama is important to them? You will find only confirmation of my hypothesis.
