“Most of Dixie given huge black populations are takers too but whites band together and vote R between 70-90 percent”

“They do not in New Mexico”

Whites do not comprise 70-90% of the population in NM.

NM did vote in a conservative GOP Governor.. Martinez. Hispanics tend to be conservative, family oriented people. But, we are a border state. The illegal alien population is quite large and like most border states it is out of control.

Up in the northern part of the state you have your California Liberals, environmental wackos and the corrupt legacy of our former Governor Bill Richardson.

Martinez is also dealing with a democrat controlled State Legislature which makes it very difficult to clean up the corrupt underpinnings of the former governor, and his appointees, out of the State Government.

Albuquerque and Santa Fe do not represent most of the State of NM. They just dominate by their population numbers.

Part of the problem is the influx of californians who have changed this state politically in the last few years. We used to be a very republican state

I did not say they did...in fact I went to great length to say the opposite about huge minority populations there.

But I will say this having spent time there off and on all my life since the 1950s...when it was conservative btw...that minoroities there except for a few old Spanish clans are just like minorities everywhwere drinking from an anti white victimhood tonic they cannot resist

and whites there today are more liberal than say whites in Mississippi or Alabama..by far

why...just like how they do everywhere...cool liberals from NY and California have flocked in...debasing the organic conservatism of land of enchantment...they are now killing Colorado...and even my bucolic environs in Williamson County TN

they are like locusts...plentiful and ever so smarmy

My point was that whites in Dixie vote 70-90% in 2008 GOP....today.....in New Mexico...it was 56% for GOP in 2008...mostly the interlopers

NM is a taker state, not a maker state. No surprise Romney not winning This state.

Only true in some areas. The whole of SE NM is booming - oil and natural gas drilling is fueling not only oil/gas services but associated projects such as home/apartment/restaurant/motel construction. This area will vote for Romney at 60% at least. Not so ABQ and northern NM which are the takers.

Ironically, a lot of industry in the latter areas have been shut down by the enviro-radicals, including lumbering, mining and oil/gas exploration outside the traditional locations. Martin Heinrich is likely to win the US Senate race over Heather Wilson. Heinrich is a left-wing, eco-terrorist associating, radical who opposes fossil fuel energy development, coal power plants, etc. in favor of windmills and solar panels. A horrible, horrible candidate that is even to the left of the other senator, Tom Udall.

San Juan County, in the northwest part of the state, is also heavy oil, gas, coal, and coal-generated power plants. It is also a conservative and/or Republican stronghold. Romney/Ryan will carry the county.

The majority are part of the 47%, just like California, New York, Illinois, etc.

Johnson has become a bad joke, another victim of the political Peter Principle with delusions of grandeur. That said, it’s hard to tell who he is hurting or helping, if anyone.
