Frankly I am the same re the handling. In my case the glocks do fit my hand. I tried for months to love a Kimber 1911 and it just never did it for me.

Also I am a simplicity guy. If I can leave a setting the wrong way, I will. And I dont want my tombstone saying “At least his safety was on”.

Was actually thinking either a Sig or an FN for my next pistol. Promised the Wife-unit that the next pistol purchase would be a carry piece for her though...

If I ever buy into the 1911 cool-aid, it'd either be an STI Perfect 10 or a Coonan Classic.
